Hey, do you have any recommendations for a good book for writers? Not a novel but more of a handbook or something? Something that inspires you to write.

I really like On Writing by Stephen King. Reading Like a Writer by Francine Prose is interesting, but I'm not sure it's really that helpful, On Writing is probably better.

also I feel weird recommending it but there's this book called The Joy of Writing Sex--I don't even write sex scenes, but I just think it's a really neat book, it talks about what the purpose of sex scenes in a novel should be, and interviews different writers about it.

I cannot generally stand fiction at all. A billion contrivances designed to titilate the reader. I'm only into faction (ususally political).

i have a hat that is telekinetically made out of paper and plastic- it was imported from China and one tag on the hat says Sloggers and another says made out of paper so in a sense two rather compartmentalized kinds of truth have been covered by the importer- the hat is pretty strong you could probably bail out a docked boat with it if it was tied up correctly
