Haha! This video is fucking funny! I totally agree with the narrator and I too am asking why Canon limits the user to how we use our camera. I, as a Canon PowerShot G10 owner, have to say that I too am disappointed at Canon for getting rid of very useful features and just cramming more mega pixels into the same sensor that the G9 already has. And isn't minimum HD 1280x720? The G10 only records video in 640x480. Ah well, Canon had better surprise us good with the G11...
The g10 v DSLR comparison is a bit pointless. Yes the DSLR is better quality IF you have it with you. Which given size and weight may not always be the case. The G10 is portable enough to always have around. At the end of the day a picture taken is better than a picture missed. No one cares about the quality if the image is unique.
I have one of these, and I cringed while watching it. I think it's an AWESOME camera -- but hey, to each their own I guess. I get great use out of it, and the features are good for my tastes.

Remember, it's a point and shoot camera, not a pro level DSLR. "Artist's" use DSLRs. For what it is, it is one heck of a feature packed serious compact digital camera which Canon managed to keep under 500 bucks.
I agree that they should not remove features in later models that existed already.
Turns out "auto" technically runs off Av mode. No use being sour because your stuck with your sub par G10. This guy is sending Canon a great message, Smash away!

OMG, they did away with time-lapse. I just love taking time-lapse video on my G9....just as well I'm not looking to up-grade.
