I love sea turtles! Turtles, in general, are my life. I have a red-eared slider named Raphael and a Russian Tortoise by the name of Michelangelo. I love taking care of them! Not to mention, I'm probably the biggest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan on earth. :D Turtles are AWESOME in any shape, form or fashion!
These honu have been around since the time of the DINOSAURS. They are so majestic, graceful, and swimming with them inspires serenity (at least in me) No video can capture the pure AWE and JOY of swimming with them, but this one is pretty good!
The turtles at Ulua Makapu Beach are used to being around people. The larger ones are not threatened. Just dont eat their seaweed. I have watched Maui Waters Dying since 1973. Sad. I remember when there were big schools of shrinp that ran on the North Kihei Shore and Da Kine seaweed was everywhere. The Philipines wen pick em all bras!
