  • Acho que deveria funcionar independente de ignição...

  • HA HA FOCUS.

  • Sim mas a ignição devera estar acionada........

  • oh i feel really fuckin safe now in my car SUPER FUCKIN SHIT TIME TO SELL MY FOCUS

  • @chevymuddogz don't worry... this ford focus stood up to this crash really well, and all of the readings were reasonably low on the dummy, it just looks bad, because a bigger car hit it.

Besides, what year is your focus?

  • O M G yep.. this things are dangerous... let's say you are parked, waiting someone and a drunk guy comes and crashes against you...

  • houston we have liftoff!

  • Yes, airbags still deploy if a vehicle is stopped (at a red light lets say). I don't believe airbags work in a stopped car if it is off though, for example, if it were parked. The ignition must be on.

  • In description:

"...pré-requisitos o acionamento da ignição..." = "The ignition must be on."

  • wtf? you say a vehicle airbag deploys when the car is moving? shit THAT ALWAYS HAPPEN ASSHOLE

  • I made a question: Airbag functions with the motionless vehicle?

  • Translated by Babelfish:

A myth exists of that airbag is only set in motion with the car in movement. This video, produced for the NHTSA, proves approximately that airbag is set in motion, same with the stopped vehicle, having as prerequisite the drive of the ignition and an impact force equivalent of a stroke in fixed barrier with 25Km/h.
