The thing that doesn't make sense in that design is the fact that the blades don't intersect at any point and don't shave around the ears. I should leave you with stripes on your head and cut ears or a stripe above your ears.

hard to tell where the cut is, but when he turns the camera to see him take the helmet off, there is a natural looking bump that could be easy to achieve in any compositing sofware. That's how I think any cut in the footage was blended.
