WTF. i hate when they put porn sounds in a song. i'm trying to listen to it on loud volume and all a sudden some girl is moaning, and i have to quickly run to the computer and skip that part hoping that my family didn't hear it and think i'm watching porn at the same time i'm listening to a song. i don't care what singer or band it is but once they add porn sound effects into it, it just ruins the fucking song.

This was truly a great band...with one of the most unique 'gothic' sounds ever.

As I've stated before, I'm not usually a fan of the growling vocal...but it works beautifully in contrast to Vibeke's truly amazingly beautiful voice.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, this band completely lost their way...and their uniqueness...their recent releases sound generic compared to their older work, which I will always treasure.

P.S. Vibeke...if you're out there...MARRY ME!!!!

De loin, le meilleur album de Tristania.

Après une baisse de niveau objective (et d'inspiration) après "World of glass", le groupe a perdu tout son intérêt lorsque Vibeke est partie.

Pour se consoler, il nous les perles de "Widow's Weeds" et "Beyond the weil".

listen guys, none of you has heard anything from the new album, you can say that when Morten left the band hasn't been as good as before, cause you've had two albums to hear that, but since you haven't heard anything since Vibeke left, you can't realyly say that. And anyway, if this band really became crap or whatever it's NOT the other members' fault, but Morten's and Vibeke's, because, if I remember correctly NOBODY told them to leave...they did it.

I'm not saying that you guys say it's their fault, I just wanted to make clear what I think, also for people that will come to comment in the future. I know how Mary can sing on her songs, you can't judge her by the songs Vibeke used to sing, there's nothing she can do about that. That's why I just hate it when people judge before hearing something of her own. Just wait, first, then judge.

In fact, I said I'm not referring to you in the specific, I'm talking in general. I just think that it's wrong to judge someone (in this case the singer) before knowing what this person is like. You talk about Morten, and that's ok, personal ideas, I still believe Ashes is totally amazing, but I respect your opinion. I just don't like it when people talk about Mary or stuff saying that with Vibeke was better, cause most of the people never heard anything of her own, that's it...

@aguilaix They strayed from discordant Goth Metal which was why I fell in love. I struggled to love the album Ashes, but after that, it pained me to say I ever loved them. They became Power Metal with a splash of Goth Metal...
