Well, said. The generation called ME, ME, ME!!! Thanks for fuckin it up for the rest of us. You had it so goddamn easy. You didn't have to fight a fuckin 20+ year war. You got a cushy middle class job, a house a car etc.. What do I have? NOTHING!!! I did everything I was told to do. Work your fuckin ass off don't fuckin mouth off, kiss ass. Fuck this shit. My skills aren't needed. I have fuckin NOTHING!!!
It's easy to be a troll. you just bounce from channel to channel and snipe at people. The sad thing is that people like you never actually contribute anything. You are just parasites, like a tick or a worm, sucking the life out of a social commentary. If you actually had an argument to make I would have respected your assessment but you are just a pain in the ass. How does it feel to be a mere inconvenience, rather than a contributing member of society?
I realize that not all BBoomers are bad but many are. Generally, the BBoomers had sooo much power to do so much good and look what we have now? So much for the peace, love and butterflies they touted in the 60's. It looks like what we have in the headlines these days are chaos, greed, war, strife, famine, poverty, disease, death, selfishness and corruption- to name a few conditions. Thanks BBoomers >(
I wish all baby boomers were like this, 'cause there's nothing worse than ossified BBers trying and failing to understand the world they live in. Their energies seem invested in excusing themselves and their failed generation - and that's as close as they come to comprehending reality. "We didn't start the fire....." What a laff.
The only principles they stand for is their stuck-in-time infantile desires to have a perfect world. Anything that disagrees with it they simply ignore.
So, in a word "REPENT." But no, you won't repent. The writing is on the wall; but you ignore it. So keep on bitching about how bad things are getting, and keep voting and writing letters to your congressman; and see if it that changes anything. Look at the bigger picture and realize that it's not the government that sold you down the river, it's Yahweh, for these things cannot happen without His full consent. Revelation 18:7-24 speaks of usa's future.
You are only describing the effect; but what is the true cause. The cause of the problem is that this is a Godless country. Forget about the constitution; and instead focus on what the Bible says. It's simple, follow Yahweh and be blessed or turn away from Yahweh and be cursed. It's really that simple. Yahweh made this country great; and he can easily destroy it, as you can see. It's too late for national repentance; however, there is, yet, a little time for individual repentance.
The United States is like a car. The BBgen has basically driven the tires bald, hasn't changed the oil, hasn't vaccumed the junk-food crumbs they fed to their kids (who they've named X, Y & Z - imbeciles), cracked the windshield, dropped the rusted muffler, parked illegally, drove too fast, put nonsense bumperstickers on both front and back, personalized the plates with some lame tolerance message and lost the filler cap somewhere. We have to get it out ditch they left it in. Thanks BBs!
When the whole baby boomer generation disappears int its own self-absorbed, entitled abyss, the world will be a better place. By far, the most spineless, hypocritical narcissistic generation ever. Now they are bitching and afraid of dying. Selfish fucks
For once I just want someone who stands by their word.
If Obama believes in health care for everyone than carry on with it. Don't just goddamn say it, some people may not believe in the idea and you know what? Fck em.
It's the X and Yers turn to take control of our country. The Boomers need to shut up.
The sad thing is that Boomers were so hypocritical.
Closest racists who watch Glenn Beck
False intellectuals who call themselves intelligent, but don't know what they're talking about.
The Boomers want to create an illusion of themselves because they're ideologues. They don't want to actually do the work however. They don't want equal freedom (social, sexual, financial) for all, they simply want everything for themselves. Notice how every ad on tv is focused on middle aged people. Viagra??
@Interests2009 Well according to generation theory by Strauss and Howe, society moves in a cycle. When they die...a new generation of idealists will be born. Actually they're going to be Generation X, Y, and Z's kids...
Man oh man. The thing about idealists though, is that they bring ideas to the table, but they're not able to carry them through. In our case, they have really ruined this country due their inept inability to get anything done. Solution? Vote Gen X into congress.
@Interests2009 Dude I grew up in a shithole and know PLENTY of kids from Gen Y that are poorer than anyone from Gen X. YOU guys grew up during a very materialistic decade, the 70s and 80s were all about that shit. The late 80s had a recession and my family suffered the effects of it. Don't stereotype because 1% of this country was spoiled beyond their wildest dreams.
History will be different. Why? Because racism has dwindled.
@Interests2009 Man, that's depressing. I grew up in Connecticut and there's racism here as well (usually you'll find it in the older generations though.)
I really hope you get out of that shithole one day by the way.
@Interests2009 Dude I'm from CT and will admit to being a bit rude to people. Not purposely, I'm just an angry person who hates people in general.
Actually the conservatives in my state are fucking rude as hell, like my dad will be aggressive to random people in the grocery store, swear, and treat people like shit.
I don't think it's a political thing, I think they know their outsiders and want to take it out on everyone else. CT is predominantly liberal, but the liberals are nice and quiet.
@Interests2009 No problem, I wasn't trying to say anything derogatory about the south or conservatives.
I really think it has a lot to do with culture clashes, as well as feeling like an outcast. When someone feels like no one relates to their beliefs/views, they lash out and are rude to people they judge as, "their enemy."
I think we're all reluctant to try a different culture, I can certainly relate to that.
@Interests2009 I think the problem with the South is that they just care too much about what people are doing with their lives. Why? There's nothing else to do, it's too hot to go outside. People are fucking poor and want to blame their problems on the private lives of other people, and hating someone brings people together...as odd as that sounds. People like to gang up on others in order to feel like they belong and feel better about themselves.
@Interests2009 Oh yea and a lot of them have worse daddy issues than "my parents god divorced!" Most of my friends either 1. grew up in a single parent household, 2. had a drug addict or alcoholic as a parent who a. beat them, or b. verbally abused them.
If not than their parents are neurotic idiots. Why? Our parents were baby boomer too, we share your pain. Don't believe the bullshit stereotypes boomers made up to try and turn YOU against US so they could maintain control.
@Interests2009 Exactly, I have noticed a tendency to blame everything on anyone else. Blaming Clinton on the economic downfall instead of Bush...when in reality it is BOTH their faults. Also the media is such shit, Glenn beck? What the hell is wrong with him? He lies, over exaggerates, puts the blame on the guy he hates. (usually democrats) which leads me to another point, they are so stubborn in their ideas. Each side is unwilling to move and thus has created polarization in congress.
@Interests2009 I actually hate both democrats and conservatives (I will admit to being more annoyed with the conservative party since they're even dumber and resort to "Goddit" moreso than democrats.)'
Democrats have sold their souls to big corporations, Republicans have gone insane. Both parties are fucking annoying and I'm sick of listening to them.
I live in CT, so the "tough guy" republicanism here is low key. Liberals are also fairly quiet in their views.
@Interests2009 Their ideas were good, but not once did they ever believe them. It was all a ploy to gain money, glory, power, etc..
And on to the "dwindling racism" thing, I think this is important. I think that once we start learning to get over such trivial things we can get down to actually working together and doing something for the good of humanity. Throughout history this has been the biggest cause of social problems as well as failure to act on them.
@Interests2009 Ugh exactly! I mean their feminists are so fcking behind the times, baby boomers have reached the point where they've officially run out of any ideas that are even effective..
I mean this is their plan for fixing the world's energy demands, A fucking windmill...really? A fucking windmill? This is 2010 and that's the best they can do! yeesh.
About racism, they are the last generation to remember a time, and grow up during a segregated society. They still can't get passed it.
@Interests2009 Exactly! race is such a made up thing, there are no true black or white people, we're all mixed and to call us that is unscientific. Scientists have a HUGE problem with racial labels as opposed to ethnic labels. (Ethnicity is what genetic lineage you make up like Italian, Ethiopian etc..)
Just call us all human beings! We're all human beings and calling someone black or white is not going to change that, but it IS going to cause division and therefore hatred.
@Interests2009 Seriously..that's how bad Boomers are. They're so fucking obsessed with their "ideas" aka day dreams of being rich, powerful, loved, etc...that they have built Gen Y and X's lives in a bubble. They told Y growing up that we were special and deserved to be loved, spoiled, blah blah blah, all while they were drinking, beating the shit out of us, and stealing our future and social security for their own gain.
There are plenty of people who hate baby boomers and are a part of that generation, check out Paul Begula's, Worst Generation article. I found it humorous.
@Interests2009 It just shows how much of a closet racist these people are. As a child I can remember my dad talking about the blacks, Jews, Hispanics and Mexicans and how they were "ruining the world and this country." Now he never claimed to be some peace loving hippie, but most people in that age group will do the same thing I've noticed. Why? Because they still can't passed the racist and segregated America they grew up in. They really should hang their head in shame at their failures.
@Interests2009 Yea it's annoying because...it isn't everywhere. There are certain environments that breed certain people. Sure you'll find murders and psychopaths everywhere, but religious lunatics? Bigots?...mmm there are just more of them in the south and midwest than there are in the north. Never have I been asked what my religious affiliations were, never have I been asked what orientation I am. Not that people don't talk about it in the north, people just don't care.
@Interests2009 Ouch. Well Dennis Hopper died, I mean they're really going to die in large waves. There's so many of them, once that happens I truly believe the earth will literally breath a sigh of relief.
@Interests2009 Yea you're right I just realized that, which would make him the actual people fighting for black rights.
Ugh yea, but is that really Hopper's fault?
Oh my god! My dad does that all the time and then curses for ten hours while he attempts to install something. And of course it's always done poorly and he has to do it again.
Exactly, they're so hypocritical. Anytime you point out there flaws they lie and say that have none, then lecture you on the same thing you just told them.
@Interests2009 It's just annoying that they control the media, economy, government etc..and they've had it since they were very young. Generation X is middle aged almost and they haven't even had a chance! My generation is going to have to wait as well. It stinks because I know people in my generation who have great ideas on where to take this country and are so eager to work. Stupid baby boomers are standing in the way of progress.
The Boomers are forcing future generations to pay for their reckless speculation, energy sector and healthcare on top of social security and medicare.
The net worth of our country is probably down to $50 trillion. The fiscal burden on our country including future medicare and soc security before Obamacare pushes the burden over $50 tril.
With the loss of the private sector, we're going to really struggle with tax hikes and probably inflation for this.
Um Obamacare is supposed to decrease the massive debt created by medicare.
It's necessary that we decrease this debt or we go bankrupt in less than 20 years...
Obama is not a Boomer, he's an early Xer. I mean just compare him to most of the people in congress, he has a completely different attitude and perspective.
We the sheeple of the North American Union, in order to shed our hard won freedoms, dispense with justice, ensure domestic poverty, provide for the state's defense, grant special privilege to an elite minority, and seal in perpetual slavery ourselves and our posterity do disdain and dismantle the Constitution of the United States of America.
What is your view on America and energy. I believe the best President to steer America in the right direction was Jimmy Carter. He proposed clean renewable energy, and if America had heeded his warnings, perhaps there would be no recession now, no global warming, no fear for the future of our planet, our children and grandchildren. Reagan and America dismissed this, and steered in the dirction of rampant consumerism and capitalism. What are your opinions on this (oil, GW etc)
In a new America we can start by removing that bullshit "under god" that was never in the pledge to begin with. This is low on the to do list. But, I figured I mention that. Separation of church and state for the preservation of both. If people don't like that then they better be careful what they wish for. Their government will tell them who thy can worship.
If I were you I would be less worried about two little words in a pledge nobody says anymore, and much more worried that most of our most dearly held rights have been interdicted by a government in debt up to its eyeballs to the corporate elite -- the very people that consider us "useless eaters" and good for nothing beyond making them more rich and powerful.
I recommend you read the novel, "Garden of Beasts" by Jefferey Deaver. Look at the society it depicts - it is what we are bcoming.
@dlondon1144 But it's important because Boomers are in the moment emotional people and they love their god something special. Fucking a national day of prayer?? Bush felt that 9/11 was a battle of Christians and Muslims...John Ashcroft needed to put a cloth over a tit...what is he four?
Religion is destroying this country and always has stood in the way of development because it's childish and turns people into children. Religious people need to shut the fuck up for a change.
@Interests2009 You have my sympathy. I've never been to the bible belt so all I know are the "stereotypes."
Oh man, yea I'm non religious and hearing people say things like "god bless you" is just awkward for me. I've heard that a lot of people will come up to outsiders and ask them what church they belong to. I don't like fake friendliness or people who pretend to be nice to your face and judge you behind your back. I can imagine, from my past religious experiences, there's a lot of that.
@Interests2009 Haha dude awesome! They should go fuck themselves it's none of their business what you're doing with your sex life.
NO one in CT has ever asked me such a thing and I've lived here for 22 years. It's absurd that these people care so much, are their lives really that miserable and pathetic?
Did the civil war really take away their pride that much?
Why would anyone believe the bible is real..man I didn't believe that bible was 100% true at age 5.
I think they're just pretending to believe it's real because there is no way anyone could believe that truly. Which again goes back to the whole "need to belong to fill a void in their lives."
It makes me wonder where exactly that void comes from.
I've actually been to Florida, but even then I was at Disney world for most of the time.
@Interests2009 I can't understand HOW anyone could live in Florida, it's so fucking hot! Seriously I actually became physically ill in the week I spent there, it's too hot to eat, to walk, to do anything, but lay down and die.
And I'm pretty sure I know what your response to that last line will be...haha
@MrRuigni Yea, ugh the suburbs in general are a horrid, barren wasteland of useless white people who do nothing but bitch about shit they don't understand or even want to understand
@Interests2009@Interests2009 I can't understand HOW anyone could live in Florida, it's so fucking hot! Seriously I actually became physically ill in the week I spent there, it's too hot to eat, to walk, to do anything, but lay down and die.
And I'm pretty sure I know what your response to that last line will be...haha
A part of me kind of likes the absurdity of the west coast-minus the shitty desert states, but on the other hand, everything has a saturation point. I'd probably get bored after awhile. Oh by the way, I'm moving to Cali in the fall, San Francisco in the fall.
I don't know if I'm going to stay there for awhile or check out NY.
@MrRuigni Oregeon sounds like a pretty interesting place, but then again so does any other place besides the one I'm living at (except the south...I really never want to go there.)
@MrRuigni It's boring and filled with a lot of white, rich, closet racists. Although no one gives a shit about what you're doing and who you are. I told my mom I didn't believe in God and she doesn't even care.
Although I guess I should be thankful that I wasn't raised in the south (I know that sounds shitty, but I can't help but be grateful for that.)
I thought the same about CT, but I really think you also have to be to some places before you can say a place is bad. I thought CT was horrible, but I also havent been to FL yet then. I havent seen deep suburban hell in FL far from everything at that time either.. Im sure today, CT still may kinda sorta suck to me if I saw it, but not as bad as other places I seen since.
@MrRuigni I have been to other places, Spain, Canada, Florida, Virginia, the only places I haven't been to are the midwest and the west coast.
I wouldn't say CT was horrible, at least the people don't care about your life. It does stink a great a deal though, everyone is paranoid beyond belief here. (They think black people are waiting to steal their shit.)
Yea thats good if people mind their business. I look at suburban CT as extremely no personality though. Hartford maybe more. Hartford seems like its a city full of wannabe NYC tough guys tho but then again they say how certain parts are fixing up.
@MrRuigni Haha, hell no, there is no personality to any of the houses here. It depends also, if you're talking about wealthy CT, then no. The suburbs where I live are ok, there are some different looking houses, a wooded area with a stream and a lake close by. (not just one tree on a barren lawn) -I'm talking like Cheshire wealthy, moderate wealth.
Oh...no they are NOT wannabe they WILL shoot you, or New Haven rather. Hartford is one of the most dangerous cities in the US.
@MrRuigni That is true, I think the boomers are jealous because we're young and they're not.
Notice how they always bitch about the fact that we're not "taking to the streets and protesting!" As if that ever does anything...
If you want to change your country, get better politicians. Stop voting for these assholes in congress, why do they always get so much support and for 40+ years? They do a rubbish job!
A high school here in indianapolis had a senior class of over four hundred... there were forty plus that met the graduation criteria... less than ten percent. that school was hailed for its advances.. sick that the parents of the area would accept this. it is our 'own damn fault.'
I think we need to do more than just vote. If every freedom loving American doesn't start getting politically active we can add another S to the USA. God Bless our soldiers but the real fight for freedom is here at home at every level of our ever increasing government!
How right you are! If you can get your hands on a copy of Robert Heinlein's book "Take Back Your Government" you will find it very much worth the effort. It gives concise, useful advice on how to take politics back from the politicians and return real power to the hands of the people. Don't let the fact that it was written in the 1940's throw you. It is as valid today as it was then.
I also remember pledging Allegiance to the United States of America and being raised to be patriotic in a military orphan's home and to appreciate the hard work and blood that was shed to create for us freedom and liberty.
Why doesn't anyone notice our Republic is dying? Don't they care? PRAY that our military (who have been USED and ABUSED by corporations lobbying elected officials), will get angry and remember their OATH to defend the PEOPLE via the Constitution - even within our borders!
Well, said. The generation called ME, ME, ME!!! Thanks for fuckin it up for the rest of us. You had it so goddamn easy. You didn't have to fight a fuckin 20+ year war.
But their delusions did give them nice ideas.

@Interests2009 Oh man, sorry about that!

@Interests2009 Yea pretty much.
My parents were never hippies, but they were racist and PC at the same time..how that works I'll never know.

Stupid baby boomers are standing in the way of progress.

from the cusp of Gen X&Y, thank you.
With the loss of the private sector, we're going to really struggle with tax hikes and probably inflation for this.
porche75 2 years ago 2
Um Obamacare is supposed to decrease the massive debt created by medicare.
It's necessary that we decrease this debt or we go bankrupt in less than 20 years...
Obama is not a Boomer, he's an early Xer. I mean just compare him to most of the people in congress, he has a completely different attitude and perspective.

Oh, hey! I have your preamble:
We the sheeple of the North American Union, in order to shed our hard won freedoms, dispense with justice, ensure domestic poverty, provide for the state's defense, grant special privilege to an elite minority, and seal in perpetual slavery ourselves and our posterity do disdain and dismantle the Constitution of the United States of America.
Welcome to Amerika.

@dlondon1144
Gaznugget 1 year ago
@dlondon1144 So, what do we do now?
Chandapanda123 4 months ago
In a new America we can start by removing that bullshit "under god" that was never in the pledge to begin with. This is low on the to do list. But, I figured I mention that. Separation of church and state for the preservation of both. If people don't like that then they better be careful what they wish for. Their government will tell them who thy can worship.
biped19 2 years ago
If I were you I would be less worried about two little words in a pledge nobody says anymore, and much more worried that most of our most dearly held rights have been interdicted by a government in debt up to its eyeballs to the corporate elite -- the very people that consider us "useless eaters" and good for nothing beyond making them more rich and powerful.
I recommend you read the novel, "Garden of Beasts" by Jefferey Deaver. Look at the society it depicts - it is what we are bcoming.
dlondon1144 2 years ago
"This is low on the to do list."
Lets juts use the term elite since it is the banks that are at the apex of power.
biped19 2 years ago
Fair enough.
dlondon1144 2 years ago

NO one in CT has ever asked me such a thing and I've lived here for 22 years. It's absurd that these people care so much, are their lives really that miserable and pathetic?
Did the civil war really take away their pride that much?

@Interests2009 Wow....

I don't know if I'm going to stay there for awhile or check out NY.

Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@Sshelly34213
The south does suck on the whole I think.
MrRuigni 1 year ago
@MrRuigni I have been to other places, Spain, Canada, Florida, Virginia, the only places I haven't been to are the midwest and the west coast.
I wouldn't say CT was horrible, at least the people don't care about your life. It does stink a great a deal though, everyone is paranoid beyond belief here. (They think black people are waiting to steal their shit.)
Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@Sshelly34213
Yea thats good if people mind their business. I look at suburban CT as extremely no personality though. Hartford maybe more. Hartford seems like its a city full of wannabe NYC tough guys tho but then again they say how certain parts are fixing up.
MrRuigni 1 year ago
@MrRuigni Haha, hell no, there is no personality to any of the houses here. It depends also, if you're talking about wealthy CT, then no. The suburbs where I live are ok, there are some different looking houses, a wooded area with a stream and a lake close by. (not just one tree on a barren lawn) -I'm talking like Cheshire wealthy, moderate wealth.
Oh...no they are NOT wannabe they WILL shoot you, or New Haven rather. Hartford is one of the most dangerous cities in the US.

I think we need to do more than just vote. If every freedom loving American doesn't start getting politically active we can add another S to the USA. God Bless our soldiers but the real fight for freedom is here at home at every level of our ever increasing government!
shooter348 3 years ago
How right you are! If you can get your hands on a copy of Robert Heinlein's book "Take Back Your Government" you will find it very much worth the effort. It gives concise, useful advice on how to take politics back from the politicians and return real power to the hands of the people. Don't let the fact that it was written in the 1940's throw you. It is as valid today as it was then.
dlondon1144 3 years ago
I also remember pledging Allegiance to the United States of America and being raised to be patriotic in a military orphan's home and to appreciate the hard work and blood that was shed to create for us freedom and liberty.
Why doesn't anyone notice our Republic is dying? Don't they care? PRAY that our military (who have been USED and ABUSED by corporations lobbying elected officials), will get angry and remember their OATH to defend the PEOPLE via the Constitution - even within our borders!
