Got the error "Windows cannot fin 'temp\SystemUI\smali\com\andro­id\systmui\statusbar", the strange part is that it worked one time..

@1legality means that roms are you using are odexed, it never will work with odexed rom

I moved the 2 files into C:\Windows and I did the "adb pull" .. it still doesn't work it says that adb is not recognized as a command

@ajabrams95 1st of all don't move them to windows anymore, 2nd don't pick option 0 when you did move files on your own, move files to directory /files_to_patch and start with option 1

thanks! :) i managed to do ADB Pull. Both files, framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk are in the folder "files_to_patch".

I got a new problem, how can I create the "temp" folder? In the new Theme Patcher v1.6, I only got options 0 to 5. I tried option 1 but still I got an error.

"Windows cannot find 'temp\SystemUI\smali\com\andro­id\systemui\statusbar". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I can't go on with step #1 which is ADB Pull. it says "adb is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." I already unpacked apktool.jar, apktool.bat, and aapt.exe to C:\Windows. I also have android-sdk-windows installed in my laptop.

I can't see the problem here.. help! :(

You may need to change your PATH:

Right-click Computer > Properties.

On the left > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables.

Under "System Variables" > PATH > Edit.

Add ";[location of your android-sdk\platform-tools folder]" at the end of what's already written. NOTE: No space before the ;

EG: I have "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_26\bin;C:\­Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\plat­form-tools" in my PATH.

Press OK etc. and try again :)

ok a have a Q Im on linux ubuntu 11.04 i put the patcher in my home folder the i run the .sh and i dont see to new zip files i just see a new file named patcher wut gives

@jralabate I didn't write that script for linux, so you would need look for @eltommi at XDA.

It is a tool for reengineering 3rd party, closed, binary Android apps. It can decode resources to nearly original form and rebuild them after making some modifications; it makes possible to debug smali code step by step. Also it makes working with app easier because of project-like files structure and automation of some repetitive tasks like building apk, etc.

@vajdanamal You need to have the patcher in your android sdk folder! I have mine in under my Android/sdk/tools folder because thats where my adb is.
