cool video the mantas love it. a few of our guys and 1 girl/women i should add... have been on the hunt for 80m and came away still having not found it lol. good work chaps :-)
Yes, they did go to 72 meters but not for very long due to fast gas consumption with the trimix and the compression at that depth (wer'e talking 8.2 ata on your body) where at the surface it's 1 ata.Believe it or not, when tec divers go deep, most of the time they are decompressing while slowly descending back to the surface than being at the bottom,You do not want to kill yourself),there's alot of science involved.
@TheKilnman The Kilnman......firstly the gas consumption at 72 meters on CCR no more than at 10m (well it is [due to countalung requiring more gas] but negligible) as you do not metabolize any more gas at depth...and what are you on about NOTOX gas switches...their on CCR and unless they bailed out they will not be gas switching....doh..!!
Are you absolutely, absolutely sure that you actually went to 72 metres? The terrain shown in this video clip appears to be at 40 metres or less. The terrain looks very different beyond 60 metres. How narked were you and your chums when this video clip was recorded?
@Hodgarth Yes,they actually did go to 72 meters, but because of the pressure at that depth,it was not for very long as in alot of tec diving while going deep most of the dive is ascending decompression.did you notice the stage bottles on these guys hips?Well the terrain shows them actually decompressing at 40 meters and less ok when they edited the video, the notox gas switches were omited.
A very good watch ,you guys are very brave,me and my hubby are just about to do our deep at stoney, but a question, how long did you spend at 72 metres while making the film/?
Why does this require fearlessness? Divers do 80m at the NDC all the time. The fact that its sheltered, has excellent viz, a shot line and a wall up from 80m are all good reasons for classing it as an EASY 80m dive as opposed to Korryvreckan or any UK wreck dive. The only neg is that its consistently less than 10 degrees from around 20m downwards due to the steepness of the quarry walls. If you feel nervy doing this kind of trimix RB dive then that's probably not a good sign.
Not when you have a torch down there, it's sunlight that distorts colours at depth as it parts of the light spectrum that gets filtered out, that's why it's difficult to see the colour red. But using a torch eliminates this problems.
only these poor scuba dive teacher want to charge you, cant believe so much bullshit is talked about how much you need experience to fucking use rebreather,
stupids fuck off ! i never been trained nor had experience and i scuba dive upto 40 meters bullshit u really do not need scrap from these assholes
you're not being serious are you? diving is easy, but it's when the shit hits the fan is when comes into play. i also can't believe that o2 mod and off gassing can be learnt on the fly!
It's the Gnome Garden. Anyone can leave a gnome down there and there's a prize each year for the best one. It's not at 72m though! It's at 16m or thereabouts. I'd feel a bit overdressed in a rebreather...
i thought god created the welsh so we can critisize them ... i mean why else r they here...lmao i mean they can't play rugby and charlotte church can't sing .. pmsl ;-)
Why are so many rebreather divers dying?? I just dont trust them. I know you guys are probably dedicated to them but this fellas not for converting. I'll stick to good ol reliable open circuit!
