smarty. look at 0:34, when it shows the psu. only two pins for the pcie power connector are plugged in, and they happen to be the +2 part of the 6+2, and that 8800 requires the 6 part. :P
tennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt*end of video*
Ok main problem, asus boards are shit. lol. Everyone ive had have blown up in 2 days to 4 months. but make sure your video card is plugged in properly, looks outta place to me, and make sure all your connections are connected properly. GL
kk, the problem starts with the board. lol. and you don't have the video card pluged in properly. hook it up right and you should have no problem until that board gives out, thats about, a week to 6 months.
I suppose it's that your ram didn't put in dual channel mode.try to put them in both yellow slots.I had the same problem too when i put 2 kingston hyperX 800MHZ into yellow and black.after changing slots everything is fine.I using a asus P5K-E
Putting dual-channel ram into the wrong slots will still allow the computer to boot, they just won't be running in dual channel mode. That shouldn't cause a beep code.
You can run a 8800GTS on a quality PSU without hords of peripherals running as low as 400 watts - what is crucial is having sufficient voltage on the +12 volt rails (remembering that more than 2 +12 volt rail's amperage ratings cannot be added - i.e. 20amps+20amps does not = 40, they equal somewhere around 30a-32a depending upon efficiency)
There are people running 8800GTX's on 375 watters that have beefy +12v rails. All about the rails.
lol du bist ein ideot weisst du das? das piepen kommt von der graifkkarte weil sie kein strom hat oh man ey hat nen gamer pc und hat keine ahung davon!
i had that same problem on tuesday when i put in my PNY 8800 GTS its not getting a connection from the powersupply and the motherboard is telling the powersupply thats somthings wrong and making that screethcing noise... i plugged in the power snuggly and it stopped making that sound
LOL.......as soon as i watched ur video i had my sound up and im like oh no what now i had just installed my 680i like two days ago and left the six pin unplugged and it made that sound so i thought my motherboard was screwed but after i plugged my 8800 gtx up i was fine =0)~
I had this same problem, your GPU isn't getting any power just like angel7slayer said, Your Graphics card could be faulty But I would change my POWER SUPPLY if I was you good Luck
I'd just like to say that I had this problem back in September 2007 and I totally forgot to post back since then, sorry guys. I have to say that, as many of you suspected, it was the graphics card not getting enough power from the PSU as I had only connected a partial part of the PSU cable. So all in all, I built my PC succesfully after I found this out. The screech of hell was coming from the gfx card, just a desperate call for more power...
HEY DUDE!!! I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!! I bought my graphics card and installed it and then it made that sound. It's cuz u need another power thing pluged in ur graphics card, not just from the motherboard.
your PCI-E power connector is bad thus your power supply is bad. i know this because when i got my 8800GTS i forgot to plug in the PCI-E power connector and i hit the power button and it made the same sound,( it scarred the shit out of me lol) after i checked every thing and i plugged it in and it started up just fine.
