I love all of the wild sounds he can bring together to make something so beautiful and relaxing while still being engaging. Dosh is certainly an under-appreciated creator.
you sure about this? I thought that Akai's can only loop for about 12 seconds before you can no longer overdub, and his phrases are usually longer than that.
@BluesGuitarist08 I saw a peda; similiar to biirds on doshs set thats green and has four foot switches to turn on or off upto four loops but its definietly not akai, and also he has an initial metronome like the one who used at the beginning here that records one "tick" that he also uses in steve the cat
I'd like to see you try a loop live and keep it as tight as Dosh. He's a human metronome and a wonderful musician who grows in leaps and bounds. By the way go check out Andrew Bird and see who works well with other people. Go put someone else down you cool kid. You obviously know what good is...
also, who said that music had to be a collective process? music can be as introspective of an art as writing. electronics is a new means with which to realize greater human potential.

I love Dosh. I saw Andrew Bird in April, and he was freaking amazing on the drums.

I'm so sick of live looping. Props to the people who do it, but keep it in the studio.
It's gimmicky and limiting. It also screams does not work well with others, although that isn't necessarily the case.
