I think you should make a smaller ship that fits inside the hangers of the freighter in case you build a space station with hangers to small to fit the entire ship i think you can use rope to hold the ship down or am I thinking a bout rope form somewhere else well I think its a good idea though

I don't get it, I placed an water pump UNDERWATER, and put a resource node on it, took a frikin' cache next to it, and linked them, all to the stupid resource cache, and gave it some energy, 9141 to be more precise, and it won't stay ON?!

It's possible to replenish oxygen in space by using banks of water splitters. Unfortunately, I have no idea if they make enough since I take a really long time trying to organize stuff and never got my ship working before the server crashed.

If there is stargate mod on a server, I use a ZPM found in the stargate Tab in the Q menu, it has unlimited power if not overloaded, and a faster way to pump oxygen or water or anything else is to get a constant value, and change the value to 1000 and wire it to multiplier on a generator, like compressors or water pumps.

use 3 colant compressors and a fusion genorator. turn on the genertor and it will make a bit of energy, then use the coolant to keep it cool. bma, unlimited free energy

Dude it is SpaceBuild 3,Not Spacebuild 2,There was NO Coolant Compressors in SB3 and Fusion Generator need Water and Heavy Water to work in SB3

Sucks that you can't have a completely self-sufficient ship like you could in SB2, but you could always set up a supply link between the ship and a planet using the Resource Transit System, right?

They can run off energy alone. I believe cooling is bugged atm, but heating works, and the climate regs can regulate temp.

Your gamemode is not enabled. Go into your gmod/gmod/gamemodes directory and check the name of your spacebuild 3 folder. You probably have a space in the name of it. Delete the space.

I came acros these by accident and now I want to get a steam game and Gmod just to tinker around with the spacebuild features. At least I know how to not die in space. But question, if the freighter comes under attack and the life support gets screwed, then won't you be screwed? Is there any type of back-up for that situation?

If your LS gets destroyed, you can run off your suit resources for a while, but eventaully you'll die.

weight is a severe issue with any ship especially freighters. resource caches weigh up to 50000 when filled.Extreme amount of oxygen? You don't have enough oxygen to travel to plannets, and to run pro longed air exchangers. Why? You can't compress oxygen in space. When there's no air on a plannet, there's no oxygen. BTW, get use to auto link. I find your tutorials extremely basic and unrealistic.

However, you do have one valid point, that you probably didn't even intent to make. Unrealistic? I agree. Personally, I don't have any fun in creating the ships series like I did with the LS3 series. There's just no guidance or direction with them, especially within the 10 minute timeframe. Hence why I would like to redo the entire series and focus on design rather than building. Meh.

A few questions:

- How big is the terraformer/exchanger bubble?

- If I have an exchanger etc. on a planet, will it reach space if it's close to the edge, and if it's in space, will it affect the atmosphere? Also, if it does, does the volume of the part of the bubble inside the atmosphere change the amount it affects that atmosphere?

- Can an atmosphere become too rich in oxygen (thus lethal)

- I'm buying a PS3. What game should I get?

Exchangers work regardless of if they are on the edge of the atmosphere or not. Their bubble doesn't change. The terraformer's bubble also acts regardless of whether in the atmosphere or not. In fact, it doesn't even effect the planet itself at all, it merely creates a new planetary bubble. If you had it on a planet, then shut it off, everything would return to the way they were without the terraformer.

Not sure about oxygen, but you can have too much CO2, which causes it to warm up.

They have the radius of 2 1x8s end to end (I think)

I weld 4 together in a row then axis it so i know if i get full coverage before i place the exchangers. It helps to have them nocollide with everything (right click).

Im just curious of the range on large exchangers. I am used to Climate Regulators in SB2 but now that they eat all of your resources and take time to charge (not to mention I dont know how to change their size in SB3 and cheat :P).
