  • I have tried this and have trouble because my arms are so short compared to my torso; when I am in a cross legged seated position, my fingers touch the floor but not the rest of my hands. Any suggestions?

  • I like the way you broke it down into stages. Thanks

  • Awseome video! It's really important the thing you say : " do not lift up the left hand when you jump , because it's dangerous and not built strength"....you know, some of my teachers told me to do it....it' shameful

  • I agree. Cross legs through will utilize the strength from the arms.

  • Hello, Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. The jump through is still challenging for me and I've been practicing Ashtanga for almost 3 yrs now.

I feel like my legs are too long to jump through with straight legs so I am still working on the cross legged version. I guess what matters at the end of the day is the the practice itself.. so beneficial and healing and the strength and stamina will follow with time. I will keep myself tuned in:) Namaste

  • ***** Thanks so much for showing us that....will incorporate in my practice , slowly in order to build that strength (-:

    ♥Namaste♥

  • Awesome video! i will definately add this to my practice. now how 'bout a video on jumping back from sitting? thanks!

  • @YogiLonnie Yes.. I will do that. Remind me if I forget :)

  • it is amazing how "natural" these jumps appear to be while watching at your video. Then I try myself and everything is different :)

Keep up the good work - I will keep on practising !

    :D
