My friend got the new Type R Championship White Edition. 2L Engine with 200 HP. A few days ago he had a battle against an 350 HP Corvette. Until 200 km/h the Corvette driver had no chance at all. Everyone believes that Honda is shit but the new one`s are fucking badass
Nah m8, audi S4 not RS4.. 330CI not M3 with M3 alloys. the honda would have been crapped on. before reaching their 155mph limiter. And if they are RS4 and M3 shame on them for not pissing the honda before allowing the honda to reach top speed. the audi should have more grunt than that, in my view. I really dont see the attraction of these Honda civic's they quite quick but not very well made, apart from the engine, which is a master class.. I dont see how they can do over 160 mph, when, figures state its good for 145mph.
@STmondeoman220 my civic is an 02 honda civic ep3 type r and trust me i have had it several times at 160mph and all it has had done to it is a k and n typhoon induction kit . they are a pretty fast car for what they are they get to 150 mph pretty quick for an na car but from 150 to 160mph drags on quite abit you need atleast a good 3 mile run from a standing start to get it to do the clock but i bet most ep3 type r's do 155+ mph just cos it says it on paper its not to say there faster then that

Ive had just over 150mph out my ST220, I suppose them honda are fast im suprised at 160. from a 2.0 litre, i preffer something with a big bodyshell, but that adds to weight. So the old 53plate 3 litre, quite average really,, just about match a cooper s off the line, on a straight road i can creep away slightly. Same as the 2.0turbo A3, Just a case of who ever gets the boot down first.

I have thought about the diesels ST for the mpg, As you say they pull well. but its the oil burner black stuff,. Have you ever had a go with the new style Type R? The triangle exhaust one? i like them. I would like another car but the ST runs well and never let me down. and for what it worth, id rather keep it untill it dies.

This was only a show of top end...where the Honda was slipstreaming...as soon as it left that...you could see the M3 was pulling ahead. Still love Honda's 2 bits! My B20 gives the E46 a go on a 1/4...but top end he has me beat. No replacement for displacement.

sounded like the CTR was hitting the limiter in places, engine light was also on which probably means he has a decat and other mods. The thing is he was getting drag off the m3 (assuming it is an m3) which will help massively, also the german cars are limited at 155 so this video doesnt prove a lot really
thats not a m3 it is a 325i or 328i or may be a usa m3 cos if you type in m3 vs rs4 top gear one you will see e46 m3 is faster than rs4 and e36 m3 evo is faster than e46 m3 cos is lighter and e36 m3 is the best m3 ever

The Civic Type R in this vid is over 1 second quicker than the newer one, on Top Gears test track... The newer Civic Type R is quicker than the mk5 Golf GTI 2ltr Turbo.... Which is quicker than your 2.3 V5....

1 -The CIVIC TYPE R does not reach almoust 270 km by it selft It needs to get behind a faster car to reach this speeds the M3 is cutting the wind so the TYPE R has minimum wind resistant and can stay glued to the M3 back
If the Type R moved to the side of the M3 It would Drop Speed very quicley because would have to cut the wind by it self
( that is a tecnique some people called CONE ) or convoy
@niceboy60 the top speed for the eur civic type r is 235 km/h so yea it is gaining a boost from the M3's wake but they both slow down for some reason cause the RS4 overtakes them. the convoy helps both of them not just the type r so they should both be able to overtake the rs4 easily which they do but then they slow down and the audi takes them. still though in order to draft the type r needs a hefty amount of power to keep up with the m3s 338 hp

Yeah.That´s true a Ctr can´t make 260 stock...but it´s one of the best in his class...contrary to m3 that is the worse of his class!! That´s the big difference between them.
CTR can do close to 250 (on the clock) in stock form but no its not the quickest in its class and its underpowered compared to todays rivals. Despite that its one of the best hot hatches ever built in my opinion.

sounded like the CTR was hitting the limiter in places, engine light was also on which probably means he has a decat and other mods. The thing is he was getting drag off the m3 (assuming it is an m3) which will help massively, also the german cars are limited at 155 so this video doesnt prove a lot really

Civic Type R 2ltr 200bhp and weighs 1200kgs...
So Civic is lighter, more powerful and will out handle your golf....

The Civic Type R in this vid is over 1 second quicker than the newer one, on Top Gears test track... The newer Civic Type R is quicker than the mk5 Golf GTI 2ltr Turbo.... Which is quicker than your 2.3 V5....

1 -The CIVIC TYPE R does not reach almoust 270 km by it selft It needs to get behind a faster car to reach this speeds the M3 is cutting the wind so the TYPE R has minimum wind resistant and can stay glued to the M3 back
If the Type R moved to the side of the M3 It would Drop Speed very quicley because would have to cut the wind by it self
( that is a tecnique some people called CONE ) or convoy

@niceboy60 the top speed for the eur civic type r is 235 km/h so yea it is gaining a boost from the M3's wake but they both slow down for some reason cause the RS4 overtakes them. the convoy helps both of them not just the type r so they should both be able to overtake the rs4 easily which they do but then they slow down and the audi takes them. still though in order to draft the type r needs a hefty amount of power to keep up with the m3s 338 hp

Yeah.That´s true a Ctr can´t make 260 stock...but it´s one of the best in his class...contrary to m3 that is the worse of his class!! That´s the big difference between them.

CTR can do close to 250 (on the clock) in stock form but no its not the quickest in its class and its underpowered compared to todays rivals. Despite that its one of the best hot hatches ever built in my opinion.

No little boy, I'm not stupid. You see in your previous comment (it's right there below, take a look) you claimed the NSX-R was a 550HP car. It's listed as 280 although in reality is closer to 320. Now you're talking about the RGT being 550 yet that's basically the same car. The NSX with 550HP is the SUPER GT, a specially prepared race car for track use only that costs far more than the BMW M6 so it's not really impressive that it's quicker! So well done, way to self own yourself once again!

The 550HP car is entirely rebuilt for the track and not road legal.
