Best champions were Onodi, Bogi, and Zamo. They just seemed to really nail their vaults best. Amanar was a great one-vault-wonder but easily the worst vault champion. She stuck neither vault and had the worst version of the Phelps of any finalist.
Amanar had an awesome double twisting yurchenko. If she stuck it was close to 10 quality when nobody could get a 10 on vault. Her Phelps sucked though.
I dont agree with worst version of the Phelps of any finalist though. Gogean's was way worse since she didnt even the front layout forward and basically just did a tsukahara half twist, which atleast Amanar did correctly by turning right away and flipping forwards even with the bad position. Miller's Phelps in the final was awful and of course she fell on it. Grosheva and Dawes were out of control with a huge step forward. As sad it is Amanar's Phelps was best in finals of those who did one.
I think its amazing how the difficulty in the vaults have gone up so much... I mean if you watch the first girl and then the last its just like BAM try doing that.
That 2,5 twist of Rosu is just amazing! Look at the speed she twisted in the second flight!!

Rosu's the only one I know so far who has won an olympic gold on vault using an amanar. Too bad cheng messed her vault.

Wow, I forgot how good Rosu's Amanar was! I think I like it better than Cheng Fei's best effort on that particular vault.
