  • Deep Chicago Blues - so original

  • ma li'l pannies a fawlin off daddy...aaaaaaoooooooooooobaybayyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Great feel in this. :)

  • This album (vol 1) was the best of the three, but they're all good. James Cotton on vol 2 and Big Walter on vol 3 are awesome not to mention Johnny Shines, Otis Rush, and others.

  • @sugarmamaaa - oh, yeah, please do mention Johnny Shines. His version of Robert Johnson's 'Dynaflow Blues' is so raw - a half-forgotten classic vocal which makes us yearn for Johnson well-recorded. But this whole great series is a goldmine. High fidelity meets high authenticity here for the first time. Second-wave Chicago bluesmen in their youthful prime. The older masters were not served so well. The Vanguard sound engineer, whoever he was, deserves a medal. I agree Vol.1 was the best though.

  • @EwolDJ Check my channel for a couple of Johnny Shines tunes from this series. Peace!

  • good god
