I know that Hypnotica advocates other ideas like: dressing as a bum and approaching women, etc... There are other coaches with similar "techniques", like makig the student perform a random public "speech" on the sidewalk. Be careful, there is a lot of nonsense in the community.

I don't think this is a good idea for the following reasons:

1. You won't get rid of your approach anxiety. Sure, there is a temporary high for a while, but I bet in a few weeks or months you will feel as before. Just accept AA as a fact of life and get over it. Live with it.

2. Exposing yourself to such socially embarrassing situations is not a good thing. The traffic guy almost called the cops. People from your workplace might see you. Might be potentially damaging for a lot of people.
