I have tried to film stuff like that it is MUCH harder than it looks. Was a bit too zoomed in but I thought he did a good job.

The pilot is incredible. I am just starting out can fly and hover but am still hundreds of blades and parts away from piloting like this. WOW I would drive to see you fly! I have a Blade 120 sr, so far so good. When I master this one I may get a more advanced bird.

Just bought a Exceed G2. You have no ideal just how difficult those maneuvers are until you've crashed a few dozen times. Very satisfying while airborne, very heartbroken when grounded. So my hat goes off to this extremely good pilot. He is one of the best I've seen.

Actually the camera work is not all that bad. At least he knows the maneuvers and does his best to follow them. For those who don't video record RC heli's just try following a helicopter being flown with any degree of skill ... you'll see how hard it is.

The blades change pitch angle to give more or less lift. On these models they can even angle down far enough to force the heli down (or keep it up if inverted).

expensive ass shit right there. this is one of those things that if you're this good, you don't think about it much, it's probably genetic and comes natural. i like helicopters and can fly them alright but have a bitch of a time performing anything close to these tricks because i'm constantly thinking of the orientation. some of us become good over learning the hard way and some of us just pick it up without much struggle. :-/

well close.. thats a trex 600 (50 sized heli) the sweet spot for those well at least in a nitro is about 2100-2200 rpm so it should be around there since its lipo im not to sure but i guess it can be more than 2200. my trex 450 gets tons of head speed.. 3000 range :)
