This motherboard is almost perfect. It auto overclocked the i7 920 to 3.4GHz in under a second with no stability problems at all. A few days of messing around, and I got to 3.8GHz with no problems.

You cant, unless you are water cooling them, in which case you MIGHT be able to squeez a card in between the top two cards, but ofcourse if your sound card is too long it is going to get in the way of the pipes.

If you are using the stock dual slot coolers then I guess your screwed mate :/

Asus Rampage II Extreme has the pci-e 1x slot above (and another below) the first 16x slot so if u want a sound card then you can do it on that board.

Evga also have the ''classified'' coming I believe.

R2E comes with it's own discrete sound card, so obviously regardless of what you put on it, it will have a sound card.

This board would be good for 2xgtx295s w/ a NICE sound card, rather than tri gtx285s

Thats why the classified version is coming out, it has an extra pci slot so you can put a sound card. This one sadly cannot

Get the MSI Eclipse M8 its got its own sound card and its above all the PCIx 16 slots so its a good spot to put it Plus its Cheaper then the R2E and it performes just as well :p

Thanks for the vid great mobo,evga is new in making their own design mobo and they are great,it has all the features,great looking pcb unlike gigabytes ugly blue,really looks cool inside the case and the new evga x58+nforce200 chip which will be launched soon will be superb,it will beat out the rampage 2 extreme and soon evga will become one of the top motherboard manufacturers.

the EVGA X58 3x SLI mobo is the fastest motherboard on the planet! with its clock core at 4.887 Ghz!!! he didnt mention the lanes of the G- Cards but they are 16x16x8 and yes u can stick 3 x GTX 280s no prob, also its future proof for the nex series of g cards the 4800 series... also future proof in software with d new windows 7
