No disrespect here, as I heard he passed away recently, but since I don't know the first thing about fashion, it's funny to me how the audience just eats it up and applaud and cheer. In my eyes, it's comical.
It's quite clear that you know very little about fashion. At least we are both on the same page. The truth is for the majority of people, the world of high fashion isn't about owning or having, as most people cannot. Likewise most people do not have original artwork hanging on their walls. High fashion is a fluid expression of an original idea and McQueen was someone that elevated the craft to an entirely new level.
We will never know the true reason of his unfortunate passing. What I do know is that wealth and fame does not buy you love and happiness. His family and close friends meant alot more to him. The pressure of recent personal problems and being on top of his career I can imagine could have contributed to his depressive and suicidal state of mind.
I was always a huge fan of his work. Seriously a great artist and always seemed to be a very humble guy. I'm sad to see him pass.
I actually just made a video using some of this footage for one of my songs. I was working on another track when I heard the news. Anyway, I hope you appreciate it. This is very sad.

It's quite clear that you know very little about fashion. At least we are both on the same page. The truth is for the majority of people, the world of high fashion isn't about owning or having, as most people cannot. Likewise most people do not have original artwork hanging on their walls. High fashion is a fluid expression of an original idea and McQueen was someone that elevated the craft to an entirely new level.

We will never know the true reason of his unfortunate passing. What I do know is that wealth and fame does not buy you love and happiness. His family and close friends meant alot more to him. The pressure of recent personal problems and being on top of his career I can imagine could have contributed to his depressive and suicidal state of mind.

I was always a huge fan of his work. Seriously a great artist and always seemed to be a very humble guy. I'm sad to see him pass.

To understand McQueen you need an open mind.
What I loved about McQueen was the way he made people think. He was really into his psychology and he used fashion... not for clothes and beauty but also for messages.
He was in a eague of his own... his shows were always a must-watch. The most intriguing, the most consistent designer.
I really envy all those whom have met him in the flesh. I wish I did to tell him how much he meant to me.
