Is this a television edit? Looks like they might have made some edits to make it a PG rating. Maybe they did it for the theaters also.

The scene with Shatner chained upside down on the cross was his first nude scene since the Star Trek season 1 episode "What are little Girls Made of? when he was locked down on a turntable and duplicated into an android.
