You can't say atheism is not the default position because you have to be taught a religion. Someone has to tell you what you believe at a young age or the thought would never enter the mind. Just think what if you had to wait until a child was 18 to tell them about any religion. It wouldn't work. That only works on children.

God is perfect Love but He is also perfect morality. He is so perfect that humanity can't be in his presence because we are impure, so our eternal souls have no where to go but Hell.

You can't say atheism is not the default position because you have to be taught a religion. Someone has to tell you what you believe at a young age or the thought would never enter the mind. Just think what if you had to wait until a child was 18 to tell them about any religion. It wouldn't work. That only works on children.

All 'evidence' amounts to is an ALIBI; one's personal defense against feeling subject to God's authority. And people refuse to let go of it. No matter how much EVIDENCE I provide that proves that there is a God, it doesn't matter. I used to debate about this stuff before I understood what the problem was.. The problem was I wasn't paying attention to the Word of God. Jesus did the impossible before the very eyes people and many still rejected him. Because it has nothing to do with EVIDENCE.

It has everything to do with evidence. EVERYTHING. You simply reject the fact it can even be about evidence in the first place because you know the evidence is flimsy and far from convincing. So in your simple-minded eagerness to affirm your personal convictions you presume to speak on behalf of others and claim that it isn't really about evidence for them; even though there's no way you could possibly know that and speak on another's behalf.

Evidence. Evidence. Evidence. I've been told of evidence so much it's just making me sick. And it NEVER comes down to evidence. It takes about a week's worth of debating till the person I'm speaking to FINALLY comes out and just says 'I don't care'. It happens every time. From my sister in law who's a biochemistry major, to the teacher's assistant at UCLA. Evidence has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SITUATION. You CANNOT come to God, because it's IMPOSSIBLE in your state.

Been through the whole evolution debate a ridiculous amount of times. Your subscribing to it has NOTHING to do with evidence. And I'm not wasting my time proving it. Because that's all it is. A waste of time. And ultimately, it's wrong. The best that someone can do by explaining and debating is move someone from an anti God position, to accepting a 'god' they can wrap their mind around.. Which isn't God. Escort someone from blasphemy to idolatry. You CAN'T get it.

Actually, your claim is not real. The claim that 'God is not real' does not come from total disbelief.. It stems from hatred. Atheists don't totally disbelieve in God, or they wouldn't concern themselves with the topic. It would be totally irrelevant. People that reject God HATE him. When atheists take the time to click on a video and post a comment concerning something they're totally convinced isn't real they're either A) crazy or B) not fully convinced of their position...

When atheists gripe about fears of 'fanatical Christians' it's simply being totally disingenuous- especially when Islam gets less air time than Christianity in terms of bashing, when it truly IS a threat to people, and has proven itself so. Well, I happen to think that Islam IS the greatest threat as a religion at this point, but that doesn't keep me from telling Christians that I think that they're wrong too. On top of that, Islam still gets SOME time being criticized, albeit not enough. I don't hate something that doesn't exist. I hate when people try to preach to people about a fairy tale that retards our growth as a civilization.

Islam doesn't get ripped as much as Christianity because of the obvious hypocrisy involved- a religion of peace yet insanely militant; it doesn't have the capacity to truly hold people accountable to anything, and therefore isn't threatening. People spend more time ripping Christianity because human sin nature is more tormented by the idea of real accountability than it is of death. Because people are, by nature outside of Christ, that evil.

I do again agree with what you say on Islam, so there is no use bringing it up anymore. Anyway, people are held accountable for their actions during their lifetime. People who are atheists can still do good things for people if they like. Some of the biggest philanthropists in the country are atheists. If you're only acting "good" because you're worried about heaven and hell, can you honestly say that you're an intrinsically good person? I'm not evil, and I don't have Jesus in my life

Morality and decency are left up to the arbitrary whim of the non-believer- if said decency proves to be convenient. In truth, all 'good' that those outside of Christ do is done with SELF in mind.. Whether a person wants to feel good about self or wants self to be viewed as good by others, true loving kindness is impossible. In the end, it all goes back to SELF.

There is no 'acting good'. When Jesus said 'you MUST be born again'/ made into a new creature', he wasn't joking. The 'good' that is laid out in the Gospel is not a series of rules to follow and goals to meet- they are a benchmark; descriptions of characteristics of one who is truly born again... (cont.)

Am I a good person?
Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me (Psalm 51:5). My mouth was full of cursing and bitterness, with no fear of God before my eyes (Romans 3:14,18)
But God saved me. And now I am a 'new creature'.
You're probably not evil compared to your peers. But God does not compare you to your peers. Jesus Christ is the benchmark for all humanity. And all are absolutely vile in comparison.

Wow. There is so much wrong with what you said I don't even know where to begin. First of all you "acting" good is what defines your character. I don't need Jesus to know how to treat people right. And how is a baby supposed to be sinful? Because of something some people did many years ago? Why would I go by what the bible says? It's an absolutely vile book in and of itself. Not to mention demonstrably false. I don't see Jesus as any kind of hero either... a teacher at best.
