  • The second tune sounds like Victor Olaiya and the Blackbeats of Ghana. THe sound is unmistakable with those trumpet and tenor sax solos. Jerry Hansen of Ramblers fame (Ghana) was the tenor saxophonist for Blackbeats then

  • Planetolusola

I have been a fan of your too numerous to mention memorable uploads on You Tube but this beats them all, especially Owo Ko Nife. Is there any way you could help with the disc or storable download of this evergreen track?

    Many Thanks

    Dr C.

  • May the Lord bless the entire family of the late Sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo. How sweet and enjoyable my beloved country was just after our Independence. This song brought to mind one of his achievements as i recall how this classical song use to blast over our Redifusion those days in Ibadan. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

  • I grew hearing this tune. I though it was by IK Dairo. It is funny to say what we thought was saying in Igbo. "Umu akwukwo..o". When I statrted hearing Yoruba language, I laughed. This is one of those music of yesteryears that made Nigeria great. I do hope his prosterity are doing well to uphold the legacy of their father - the great musician

  • I am from Sierra Leone and grew up with this music every single day. My uncle Solomon used to play it every morning to the day of his death - God bless him. This song is vintage and God must have surely invited to heaven.

  • God continues to bless you for real...This is true National Identity and treasure...I appreciate some of the music of today but the oldies will never die as they are classics and we must continue to let the current generation appreciate the originality of Nigerian and African beats as it concerns our Artistic integrity. Continue the great uploads.
