American Football has billions of dollars invested in it. The U.S. controls 30% of the world's wealth, and with that money, we fund sports. Football is second to basketball in popularity, but first in money invested (in America). Soccer is the worlds most popular sport, but whether or not it is the "wealthiest" sport in the world could be argued.

NFL is not the wealthiest "sport", but it is certainly the wealthiest league. The average value of each club is higher than the average value of any football league AND the NFL is by far the most profitable league!.
In terms of salary, The average NBA player earns THREE times as much as the highest football league!

Yeah american football is for americans. Only americans would call a game FOOTball in a sport that is played with hands. Only americans are capable of eating like pigs to become enormous. And only americans are entertained by huge people tackling each other for 1 min then resting 10 minutes because they can't run since they're so huge.
Real football is played with feet, requires amazing skills and played by complete athletes.

Ignorant statement. American Football players are among the best athletes in the world. They (we) run faster, jump higher, and are stronger (in relation to bodyweight) then 99% of all athletes.

For how big they are, they are very athletic. Strength=speed and explosiveness... Olympic weightlifters are very strong as well, and they run 0-50M an avg. of just a few hundredths of a second slower then Olympic sprinters.

i'm not gonna pretend like i know the names of the positions of football players. so, the guys that line up on defense and offense, some guys are huge, strong no doubt, but just because they're strong doesn't mean they are fast. running backs or w/e. they're the whole package, strong and fast. but comparing to a weightlifter, i see your point there. there are just too many atheletes, it's very difficult to compare them.

wow. Ok first of all ben johnson who ran a 9.7 in 100m ran a 4.2 in the 40. Second the current record is 4.1. Third and my biggest point is 3.5 isnt possible by the humans of today, usain is expected to go 4.0 maybe miracously 3.9. Most world class athletes are good at short bursts of speed like the 40 where champions are proven are over longer distances like 100m or 200m.

i run a 4.38 average
and my fastest time in the 100m is 10.77
have u ever been to an indoor trackmeet
people run 60meters the fastest i saw was 6.86
on my first try at the 60m i ran a 7.44
but now that ive been training i hope to run like at least a 7.13 or something like that

and 3.51 is something you are calculating over a 100 meter distance. but he first has to accelerate, and is much faster at the end. assuming he could accelerate at the same proportion as in a 100 meter distance, then yes, he would run a 3.51. which is impossible.
