@Jonerotn4151 - I'd love to hear more on this, please explain cause in past years I've had multiple crashes that incurred whiplash and now have a few subluxated vertebrae in my neck, not to mention lower back (C-1 to C-3 and L-4 to L6). Now I have a Leatt brace and with very similar hard hits and landings I can say that it has limited my involuntary neck movement that would cause more severe damage. Please explain how having the neck brace would cause death, lol.

I'm not the poster and I don't agree with him totally either. That said, neck braces in the "right" situation can be dangerous. The thought is the "tongue" on back of the brace that goes down furthest can break your back where it would naturally bend backwards. I do ride with a neck brace the vast majority of the time. It can really limit your movement in tight woods but on the track and in fast sections, it makes me feel better protected.

@ringkingpin -That tongue on the back is adjustable and if you read the instructions they tell you how to adjust it properly. That being said it is only for a certain amount of support and it will break before your back does. The objective of this device is to limit movement in case that you can't support your head, not to save you from a digger head first, in that case it is out of the way enough not to cause damage. If you break your collarbone wearing it then it saved your life.

As I have been a racer for the last 19 years, the thing is, he knows right on the moment when he leaves the ground that this is going to be a hell off a crash, why else did he let his right hand off the handlebar in mid air? Just to make himself ready for the freakin awful landing, just every muscle relaxed, huge crash a bit scrathed back and thank god he didn't use the "collarbone breaker" Since the video has no sound, i guess hes bike just didn't had throttle response

@KoVaL731 - I've been a racer for the last 22 years and all the hard crashes that I've been through I can say that I would rather have had my neck brace on and broken my collar bone several times than have to deal with my neck injuries for the rest of my life. Migraines pop up several times a week and while riding I sometimes get a debilitating jolt of pain in my neck that can randomly come on at any time even on the softest of landings.
