Working on the final vid for Trail Bike Adventure Magazine now. The footage is real good, even if I say so myself with most of it ......finally in HD.
Have a look around 31 secs and you will see my front wheel is locked with mud as my back wheel pushes the bike into a puddle. I didn't clean this mud from the guard, and although my front wheel was free, once the mud hardened about an hour and a half later that dried mud locked the guard.
You sound really lucky. For me I had a front wheel lock up at 110 kilometres per hour on tar. When it locked I held it as long as I could and then layed it down on the right hand side similar to a dirt bike front wheel wash out. This minimised damage to me as my arms were by my side as I hit the tar. Just out of hospital after a week on morphine. 4 broken ribs, deflated right lung, displaced knee cap, 9 sutures in the left arm, graze on the hip.
ye all the doctor says is that im really lucky and sum1 must be watching over me.
i was riding along a fire trail 5th gear on my TT350 round 100km/h and then a log appeared on the road and it had jst been raining aswell so it was wet and to top that off it was at a angle so my bak wheel side across the log flicked out to the left, then flicked back and threw me. I then rag rolled flipping along over 20 metres and hit sum tree . i was alone and it took me over 20 minutes jus to call for help.
i crushed my L1 vertabrae and my spinal cord had 50% of pressure on it but it has gotton better. I still have bone fragments all in my spinal cord and its all bruised and swolen. will go away in afew months. ive been in hospital lying flat on my back for 5 weeks now and got 1 more week till i can stand!!!! then ill have a brace on for 6-12 weeks.
Oh, wonderful video! Nice riding!
My biggest drem at the moment is to drive down to India through Mongolia on my BMW Adventure.
This summer, I drove in the Arctic, alone on my bike... what an experience ...
I hope that I will finish my slideshow from the Arctic ... before New year... Greetings from Sweden *S*
