im a white guy from the uk and my girl who originates from philli took me to vigan to try the empanda and it was soooo nice.. also i tried balot,dog, goat, and some sort of lizard, cicig, (pigs face) and all of them that i ate was so delicious,, but balot was my best food i had tried.i loved philippines and what a beautiful country is is what with the people are so caring and hospitable.. god bless

empanada!! damn! Empanadas in Filipinas!!... We make empanadas  in colombia too!... huy empanadas en Filipinas! hasta eso tienen en comun con los latinos!!

oh that's just sad, maybe that's the best in vigan but you must try the original empanada from Batac,Ilocos Norte it's the best. Ilocos Empanada is actually from Batac, no offense but i think no one can make me eat those. i'm sorry i'm just too loyal and too proud of my mom's hometown but i respect others' taste though.

We tried Batac empanada just this summer and I still think Vigan empanada is better. I can't get over the fact that Batac empanada has almost zero meat, tons of dry-tasting bean sprouts and that artificial orange color.

Yes this is actually my family and thats my auntie tina.. Our family is the original empanada of vigan, the faypon family and proud of it.. I think we have the best empanada and i have had people tell me from other places that vigan empanada is the best.. Hi auntie tina! i miss u!

That is amazing how that lady was making empanada after empanada. I like how she sealed and cut the empanada in one motion using only a plastic bowl. I'll have to try that method.

original yata 'yan from the Faypon family our family..if you happen to visit Vigan and wanna try the original empanada look for the descendants of the original empanada. the family has been making empanada for generations. authentic talaga :)

nkakamis ang vigan, d2 kmi mdalas nmamasyal ng gf ko,d2 rin kmi nging mag bf sa vigan cathedral 3 yrs ago, isa rin akong bakasyonista at d2 ko sya nkilala s ilocos lugar ng mga kamag anak ko sa san vicente...namis ko n tlaga 2ng vigan dhil very memorable skin 2ng lugar n 2.. i love evrithing about ds province..mis you honi..
