I personally prefer Jimi Hendrix as a song writer and believe that when Jimi found the the right balance between Drugs and being sober he was the BEST live performer ever. I will say it right now with as much malice as possible towards you Dorian You pretentious wanker that Stevie Rays little wing is the only Hendrix song I have heard that was bettered. I love Hendrix's version, but as with Jimmy's Voodoo Child, SRV'S little wing is part of the holy grail of guitar playing.

my mistake, it was a hybrid with a 12AX7 miniature triode in the power amp section. Still he made a hybrid with a bad monkey sound good, just shows that you can get good sound without a full tube amp and a vintage ts-808...

This was a long time ago, so I'm not sure. Vintage Noiseless pickups in Neck and Middle for sure, and either Vintage Noiseless or ToneZone S in the bridge. Wired the second tone control to the bridge pickup, and did the treble bleed mod. Nothing too special.
