Das ist schon richtig geil gewesen. Hier sieht man endlich mal das Musik zu dieser Zeit auch passend performed und gelebt wird. Und der Song Rheinita ist aus dieser Zeit Cult und HISTORY. Und an die geborenen 60er Jahre Generation -> der Song lief doch mindestens ein- oder zweimal auf jeder Party.

Der Titel war seinerzeit ein Jahr lang Nummer 1 in der HItparade (ich glaube, es war "Mel Sondock´s Hitparade", die immer von 19.05 - 21.00 Uhr im Radio lief). Kann mich noch supergut an den Song erinnern :))

@Davis752 nah, I can hear the reverb from the live recording, and it's a little compressed. I conclude that this is either a spectacularly accurate live performance, or that the sound is dubbed in.

Na logisch: als ich im alter von 14 J. Kraftwerk im Jahre des Herrn 1974 gehört habe, sagte ich allen voraus, bin ich Prophet (?), Elektro wird die Zukunft. Genau ist es so, der Synthie ist immer da immer.... Müsst ihr mal was vom "Yellow Magic Orchestra" z.B. "Computer Game" hören ... da gings in den 80ern richig los... noch bevor OMD oder andere da waren.

der dinger-beat ist einfach unschlagbar . atmender kling klang , beste düsseldorfer schule .

du findest in den aufnahmen von la düsseldorf die elementarste , minimalste art schlagzeug zu spielen , so primitiv wie blendend genial ( um diesen beat zu ergründen : bitte nach NEU! suchen oder kraftwerkfans befragen ) .

bowie hat bei dinger geklaut , siehe "lodger" .

Die Qualität ist traurig. Da ziehe ich lieber meine alte Platte. Aber dass ich den Film sehen durfte, war ein Geschenk. In den 70ern war ich extremer Fan von La Düsseldorf und der Düsseldorfer Musikzene (Rother, Riechmann usw.). Dass es heute noch Fans gibt, die es bei youtube posten, ist lobenswert.

Klasse Rheinita, vom Fernsehen abgefilmt?!? Mit Gottschalk als Moderator. Das wurde im WDR1 Hitparade selten ausgespielt, weil es zu lang war. Stand einige Wochen auf Platz eins. Und die Schallplatte bei mir im Schrank. F95 olé

Rheinita - the british Band OMD made a world-hit out of it called "MAID OF ORLEANS". But Andy McCluskey was alwas so fair to admit that he has been highly influenced by Kraftwerk, La Düsseldorf etc.

@Nagelbrett there are even elements of "Maid Of Orleans" here, you can even kind of hear OMD's vocal melody at the instrumental intro of "Rheinita". Of course both Andy and Paul always admitted their influence and love for Neu!, La Dusseldorf, Kraftwerk & Eno as their main influences when they started. Of course OMD were pioneers as well up to 1983 creating their own original sound. The Kraut rock and electronic German bands were so ahead and we thank & love them for their timeless music.

Fortunately, to me it was easy to get stuff from La Düsseldorf. When I was introduced to them on the radio I downloaded some songs, including Rheinita, of theirs through Napster 7 years ago. I've since been a fan of La Düsseldorf.
