Why the hell do each of the so called News Orgs. always showing a show attacking another show on a different network. I can tune into MSNBC and they are attacking FOX News. I can tune into FOX and see them attacking MSNBC. Is that the fucking news? Wow!
Interesting that these two political sluts (Olberman and Maddow) now do lunch at the whitehouse and take their taking points from Obama. Prove me wrong.
Neither Sean Hannity nor the rest of these conservative talkies have any leg (not one) to stand on! Obama is now President and not a one of them can come up with any real pressing issue surrounding this administration. All they talk about is how liberal he is or how socialist he is! You can't say anything else? It's pretty pathetic that you conservatives have such idiot role models like Sean Hannity and Sarah "Dumbfuck" Palin to look to as role models! WOW! I'm NOT impressed!
@ericclaptonismygod31 How do you figure either was a mouth for any one President? From my observation, I would have to conclude that MSNBC is probably the fairest and most responsible of all the news channels. As with all news stations, I still believe that American news is nothing but trash but out of the ashes of this trash MSNBC seems to have some inkling of integrity to their reporting. As for any one channel, my choice will always remain Al-Jazeera however!
of course, maclennan went on O'reilly the next day and took it all back. if you think olbermann and maddow are somehow different than hannity or O'relly, your just another partisan hack.
"He took it back"? He denied his own comments? And we're to except this as a credible denial? Which McLennan should I believe? The one who admitted to using Fox anchors as propagandists, and when asked to clarify kept on admitting on Hardball, or the one who went "oops, didn't mean that, my bad" the next day when he realised the mess he had put his administration in?
I don't know. decide yourself. they all seem like power hungry tools to me. But he did go out the next day and say he was like "misquoted" or something. who knows. Look, Bush was a disaster and basically a criminal, do you need mcclellan to know that? no. would it make it worse to use one of the stupid networks as propaganda? not really, they all do it. You can't trust most of what you see on the TV anyway.
How could he have possibly been "misquoted"? You can only misquote someone on written. There's the video, you can see for yourself what he had said. Olberman and Maddow weren't inventing anything here, twisting anything - they presented the facts, and added their own commentary. Good, old fashion journalism.
dude, he was on a radio show the next day and said he was misspeaking or something, he back tracked on what he said, that's the jist of it. how is that hard to get. maybe he was lying the first time, or maybe the second time, i don't know, i'm not him.
Girl, not dude. (Why is it that people assume I'm a man on the Internet? Is my font butch?). He had no reason to lie the first time, he was asked to clarify it, thus given a chance to take it back right there and then. He didn't. Then the next day, the crap hits the mill and all of a sudden he had been "misspeaking"? I know you can't read the man's mind, but you can draw conclusions based on your general knowledge of the human character?
As far as gender goes, I've never assumed I was talking to a girl on the internet, don't know why, just doesn't seem "normal". I'm tired of Mclellan at this point anyway, and I don't even think it's that big a deal. Did fox news really need white house prompting to get down on there knees in front of Bush for 8 years? no. they were on his side to begin with, so to me it isn't that relevant. I don't expect serious news from television, and i don't watch it, certainly not faux news.
The whole point Maddow was making is that it doesn't matter what Fox did, but the Bush administration's behavior in this case is unforgivable. It should worry you that the white house is trying to propagandise you.
i knew the white house was propagandizing me before maddow told me. politics is propaganda. i don't think i've heard a politician in my whole life who didn't speak in buzz words and talking points, which is propaganda. I don't doubt that if Obama could bo the same at a station he would, it's to be expected.
Keith and Rachel don't need talking points from the white house. They are intelligent enough to come up with their own talking points. Fair and balanced my ass!!! Thank you Scott McClelland for calling them out!!
The more I hear Rachel Maddow speak, the more respect I have for her. While I don't agree with her on many issues, she seems to have what many in that field lack: intelligence and honesty.
The only people who take Fox News seriously are the same people who would suffocate and die if you taped their mouths shut.
I have serious doubts in the cognitive ability of anyone who trusts one source for the truth; particularly when that "news" source is demonstrably dishonest.
