  • sun ra i love you

  • Sounds like the Mothership Connection for autistic Martians.

By the way, how many outer space burgers did Sun Ra eat to fill up that gigantic cosmic belly of his??

  • great sound!!!

  • ive been looking for this video

  • I saw sun ra last week at the horse head nebula club, he got down..

  • YESSSS!!

  • Nice job, keep it up. New music from Brandon Jarod coming soon, great sounds!

  • this footage was't in egypt and Italy , is from neptune

  • LONG LIVE SUN RA!!

  • This track is awesome...

  • if you believe enough in ANYTHING you will always find a bunch of nuts that will follow you

  • Baxicca itta anti pensau cussus becciusu hahahah

  • I saw the akestra last year live with marshall allen and i can say Sun Ra(his vision/Power) isnt dead! the Keyboarder/Pianist was fulfilled with Sun Ras Soul incredible band!

  • hey whats the song name

  • @Msbl0ndecutie It's "Watusa" from the "Space Is The Place" Soundtrack album!

  • whats the song name?

  • whats the song name?

  • And might I add you are too immature to understand Sun Ra. Believe what you want with the filters in your mind. You create your reality.

  • @ppc1989ark I could have done without the "And might I add," I apologize.

  • @ppc1989ark lol if 1989 is your birth year, that explains everything man, and I don;t mean any offense by that. You need some Experienced older friends before you fully understand racism, persecution, and illegal substances fully enough to understand that there are filters in many other places besides my.. or even your lol.. mind. I assume you're not Black, or you'd have a very different intuition in regard to what you read. Jazz was profuse with substance use, Sun Ra was a guru not a prude.

  • @ppc1989ark well you seem like a very cool guy man and I was not trying to offend you

but really, most often people who take their substance use most seriously are the ones who are very quiet about doing so, because they don't want to be confused with the sloppy recreational-use culture, and they don't want to cause problems with their recording contract _or_ get arrested. Dali, Baudelaire, and many more artists/writers ate hashish religiously, to access their creativity.. but were discreet

  • @ppc1989ark "I am white, I was raised in a black family as absurd as that may sound"

That's not absurd at all, that's *advanced*

    :)

  • @fatchants By the way, good point, psychedelics are your spiritual side. They do not "bring out your spiritual side." And Jazz was profuse with drugs as well as blues. Muddy Water's "Coacain and Reefer." My point is that some people can achieve enlightenment without drugs. If your spirit is strong you can break the chains of reality without them. I have contemplations in my cognition that reveal extremely strong images and colors without drugs. I have no boundaries in my mind. Nature is my drug.

  • @ppc1989ark telling someone who may be twice your age that they are immature is a sure sign of immaturity, if there is any in this conversation. lol. bro Pink Floyd's biography says they didn't do acid either, I suppose the Dar Side Of The Moon, the prism on the cover, that all was inspired by a strong cup of tea by some otherwise very careful, prudent, spineless 28-year-old people who couldn't handle the same acid their teenage fans were gulping down..in reaction to that very music? Silly.

  • when was this version of Watusa recorded and what was it released under?

  • viva l'italia! eheh e anche l'egitto

  • what's the name of this song??? sounds fucking ace

  • i just found myself in a bit of a trance listing to this.

  • Amazing! I love this guy:-)

Only recently heard about him, more curiosity from a free 'Background music' synth vst instrument...

  • ..been into Sun Ra's stuff for a while now, but recently i've been more deeply appreciating...so much diversity...so much deep and boundless creativity...thanks for this vid post.

  • any talk of Sun Ra and drugs is lies. ...

    know his HIStory.

  • Fantastici.. Grazie Mirco!!

    Elisa

  • In Sardinia!! WoW!!

  • tne 2nd tenor intonation was bit off in the bridge

  • i think the idea is that this shit is always on, whether it's convention or not..

  • You do realize Sun Ra discouraged any kind of hallucinogenic drugs or any other narcotics? He actually did think he was abducted by aliens as a child. Go to a Woodstock video and post that comment, really.

  • @whatthebutts Um, ya. The same is said of Pink Floyd. lol

According to Coltrane's biography, Coltrane went to live with Sun Ra, specifically for Sun Ra to turn him onto LSD.. which Coltrane was then quite close with for the remaining two years or less before he died (see liner notes in _Transitions_).. point being that this was credited to Sun Ra's influence.

Jazz musicians and beat poets were doing peyote long before college kids knew about LSD, so stop being an a-hole ("Woodstock..")

  • @fatchants Sun Ra was about discipline and drew the hard line on drugs. Read his biography by John Szwed. Yes, many people went to his concerts under the influence, however that has nothing to do with the musicians on stage.

  • Comment removed

  • @ppc1989ark so.. people who go to see concerts have all the balls when it comes to getting high, and the people who play the weirdest music till all hours of the night for them to listen to, they're prudent and "straight", is that it? lmao really man.

  • @fatchants No that's not it. Yes, I believe psychedelics can bring out your spiritual side especially for us whites who are lacking in spirit. However, some people have extremely strong imaginations and understand their place. They can revert to feelings they had as child, feelings of oneness and sincerity. They are tuned with The Creator (unknown). Acid and peyote are wonderful forms of energy to tune in and loose your ego when you are READY.

  • @fatchants Psychologists, our Shaman in present day, should continue research with peyote. People need to wake up from their material addictions, like me wasting my time on YouTube for immediate gratification. Sun Ra was awake without help from psychedelics. He had visions of going to Saturn and other worlds in his sleep and cognition.

  • @ppc1989ark your insistnece on the idea that Sun Ra was not into substance use is just naive and ridiculous. I don't know how old you are man but I know older jazz musicians, and your impressions of Sun Ra are what is mythological, he turned Coltrane on to acid, this is documented by people in that circle. And psychedelics don't "bring out" your spiritual side, THEY ARE your spirit, endogenous DMT makes your heart beat. Look It up, it's as far in as it is far out, which I'm sure MysteRa knew

  • @ppc1989ark

you seem to be missing a crucial and

    Life Saving Detail

in regard to substance use: Discipline and doing substances are not mutually exclusive in the eyes of serious musicians like Sun Ra, Coltrane, Parker. You've got it completely backwards bro. Jazz musicians are the epitome of focused, disciplined employment of such substances for their intended and wholesome purpose: To ascend and learn and bring Something back to give the world. And to protect it and stay SAFE.

  • @VictorSturgeon Sun Ra and Chester Burnett (Howlin' Wolf) were two artists who never let their groups partake: most others did.

  • Lawl

  • You are insanity at it's purest.

  • ancient aliens... shadano ra gim.... it's the mind which is like the air...
