The gearshift is not rubbery at all, when your in gear the gear lever doesnt move about at all, the stalks are not flimsy they feel very solid because they're only small.
The car is massive, i'm 6'3 (mostly legs not body!) and it's the only small car where i dont have to put the seat right back! It does feel very well built actually, you get a nice thud when you close the door and all the dash is all soft touch and squishy, its nice! The suspension is very very good and completely glides over imperfections in the road
@smush123 Yeah, I agree with you. It does. I think the current Honda Civic 3/5 door (including the Type S and R) has a really nice interior. My dad owns a 2.2 Type S and I would say it's one of the nicest hot-hatch interiors around :)
@iiSeanify Reviewers rarely mention it all they do is praise how stylish it is. I like a car to be stylish outside and in. with some hight tech gadgets. If Citroen can do it Renault should be able to. I think my first car may be a DS3.
@smush123 Yeah, it's true what you're saying. I'd like (when I get a car :P) my car to feel and look nice when I'm sitting inside it, and I'd also like to approach my car and still think it's nice to look at. Fair enough, the exterior styling matters a lot, but it's the interior that's the most important in my honest opinion, because when driving, you can't be looking at the exterior, only the interior :P I hope my first car will be a Volkswagen Golf or a Polo.
@iiSeanify Golfs and Polos are safe choices but there's too many on the road not likely to turn heads but that's just me I like to have a car that isn't too common but I guess cars become common for a reason - they are well built and cheap (example being didn't see many Daewoos on the road in my country but my Dad owned one and it was terrible, worst 10,000 ever spent lol he owns an 2009 Focus now and although common has had no problems apart from me finding it uncomfortable to sit in the rear)
@smush123 That's the reason I would like a Golf/Polo, because (as you said) they're well-built, cheap and I believe they will hold their value better than most rival hot hatches. I don't like the Daewoos, my dad's wife owned a Daewoo Matiz and it was bland, slow, cheap and boring. She now currently owns an '05 Toyota Avensis. We nicknamed it the Daewoo "Squeak" :L I like the Focuses, they're nice cars. I might be lucky enough to inherit my dad's Civic when I'm old enough :)
Look at it's stupid French bonnet/hood. It only opens halfway up the light clusters. Absolutely a mission to get into that to work on the engine. It's like they did it on purpose. You can't even change a lightbulb without pulling the whole bumper off.
Toyota Yaris is MUCH better. I have the 1.5L version Yaris and it will leave this thing in the dust. French cars are awful. I had an R5 and it rode beautiful, but had it's share of problems. Buy Japanese....
@auxmike lol how can you compare a (new) Yaris and an R5 from 20 years ago???? French cars might not be perfect, far from it,but ''awful'' is a bit of a strong word! Go and try a Clio or a Megane,i think you might be pleasantly surprised ;-)
@hishonline The Logan is badge as a Dacia in Europe. They are not sold in the UK though. Dacias have become very popular across Europe and especially in France and Germany. The Duster 4x4 is of the top ten best selling cars in France.
I bought a Clio a few months ago and, as is said in the video, I think it's good enough for comfort, interior space and mounting ... The only problem? My car is fitted with the 1.2-liter, 16 valves, 75 bhp non-turbo engine that has the same power and the acceleration of a stone ... Anyway: I'm glad I spent my money on this product :)
I like this car (too bad you can't get em here in the US).
but the front looks like it came off of a Nissan Leaf, the rear looks like it came off of a Yaris and the overall car reminds of the Chevrolet Aveo.
Don't get me wrong i like the car's looks, and it seems to be a rather sturdy car, but i wouldn't look into buying that as a full time commuter. maybe while i'm still in school/university/higher education (given it was available in the US).
@Sharod101 The looks of the facelifted Clio isnt everyones cup of tea but the rest of the car itself is excellent, the review is 100% accurate and the Clio is definately roomy and grown-up enough in its manners for a small family to use as their only transport... :-)
Horrible front bumper! They should have left the old one...

It´s really good looking, it has a lot of space, it is very practical and very cheap. This is a really good car.

Things I disagree with:
The gearshift is not rubbery at all, when your in gear the gear lever doesnt move about at all, the stalks are not flimsy they feel very solid because they're only small.
I do agree the radio can be quite fiddly.
