Well...I'm Russian and I've been in volunteer camp in Bizerte this summer. What can I say. Tunisia is a nice country. But guys are too irritating there. They all wanted to date me lol And when I was finally kind of dating with one he wanted me to pay his bills in cafes and his transport expences. I still wonder is such a behaviour normal for tunisian men?
@dechestret I'm from Bizerte, and I must tell you that you've been unlucky apparently, cause you may have bumped into only this category. Tunisie or Bizerte in specific is like every place, you find the good and the bad. Hope you visit again and meet better people.
Hi, i am Tunisian and i live in LONDON , please let me make it clear to you that you were unlucky you met the wrong person, Tunisian man are very hard working people and they don't really rely on no one to pay thier bills , unfortunately like every where in the world there are bad and good people, please accept my apologies on behalf of all the tunisians people. kind regards

Just sent an application form away for a summer placement in the construction industry in Tunis. If it gets accepted, I can't wait to experience true arab culture! The desert, the architecture, the language, the food, the whole lot!!!! XD
Both I guess! I always that thought although Tunisia is in Africa, its people are Arab, am I not correct? Besides, Africa is too diverse to have an "African" culture.
Tunisia has been doing pretty well for itself.Sandwiched between Libya, whose leader Muammar Gaddafi until recently had poor relations with the West, and Algeria which was battered by violence.

For those who dont know Tunisia, just remember that it is just a small country in the northern part of Africa. Famous for being a tourist resort to many tourists from Europe and the Americas. Formerly it was known as the bread basket of the Roman Empire. Now it is the land of the jobless , the poor, and the oppressed literate population. Unlike their president , Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, most Tunisians are well-educated and politically aware.
