Basically every player in the NHL is Canadian? Well, that USED to be true. Today, Canadians only make up about 50% of the NHL. They lost 25% share of the NHL in the last 20 years alone. At this rate, Canadians will make up LESS than half of the league by 2015 or sooner. Since "all us Americans think we know everything" I thought I'd teach you a little something. I figured it was easier than teaching you how to write!

Bryz, Jovo, and Yandle are in contract years, think they'll re-sign if the team is moving to Winnipeg? A Canadian refused to play in Edmonton, accepting a trade to San Jose instead.
Winnipeg had trouble building a team when they had the Jets. A couple of guys who got traded there in the 70s and 80s RETIRED after being traded there so the Jets essentially had to give players away! It would be a little easier now that teams have to worry about cap room but even still it will be very tough to keep top talent. Before you thumbs down the $#!7 out of my comment please know I was just as heartbroken as any of you when the team left, but I'm just being realistic.
