@Annihilator1111 The Ford Pinto had problems with its tank, the tank was in the back and if someone were to hit your Pinto from the rear you car would most likely explode

The Pinto was the poster-child, and was probably a flawed car in many ways, but there were others that were nearly as bad. The one single-biggest area that cars have changed in over the last 30 years is occupant safety. It took cars like the Chevy Vega and Ford Pinto to get to where we are today.
Odd, he states that 2.5 million were sold in 10 years though Ford production numbers are at 3.33 million.
