I think it's great that you take the time to answer questions here on Youtube from interested people. You rarely see any companies doing that. Speaks volumes on your level of customer service I'm sure. Keep up the good work, and nice car.
15 x 10 Wheels with 6.25 or 6.5 backspacing will work. Tires are Mickey Thompson ET Streets 28 x 11.50 x 15.
Fronts are 15 x 3 with 1.75 backspacing and 165 R 15 tires. These will NOT FIT with factory rear suspension. You must REMOVE the quad shocks, roll the outer fenders, and massage the inner fenders with a 5-10 lb hammer to clearance. You MUST run aftermarket upper/lower control arms as the factory ones will buckle with this much tire. Upper/Lower C-Arms are $200/set.
Haha. RPM I meant. If you thinking of going solid for a street app look for some with direct lube (Hi Po). I bought my Crowers for 600 bucks....They aint cheap. But you need the direct oiling for a street app.
Solid roller lifter looks the same but there is no pump up in the lifter you have to set lash..... If your lazy and dont wanna set lash every once in a while get Hydro Roller. Usually above 7000RMP the 5.0 drivetrain is pretty heavy so people go solid to keep valvetrain more stable.
could you tell me what vehicles came factory with a roller 351 engine? will the alphabet series cams from ford racing work in a roller 351? im trying to decide between a 95gt engine or a roller 351. Any advise you may have would be a huge help.
depends onhow much power your gonna be making, a 95gt is the 5.0 ho, good for around 500 safely (with block reinforcements like girdles, etc) a mexican windsor block has been known to handle 650 plus. btw, dont get the ford racing cams, they suck, no midrange.
I'm rebuilding a Cobra Jet 351C right now and would also like to hit the 400's. I thought I could do it with my stock 4v (DZ3E 2.04 or 2.05 Intake valves not 2.19 ). I'm looking to comp cams for the came and valve train components and edelbrock for the intake and carb.
Several routes to go but you may consider the Windsor 351 as a valid option unless you already have the engine built. The windsor will shed weight and have alot more BOLT ON parts available at 1/2 the price of the older Clev engine. Go with a Carb from Pro Systems (we carry them) starting at $599 for a 780 cfm and focus on a killer cam package. (We have several sick combos from $399).
This little windsor bullit made 438 rwhp at 6500 rpm and had plenty left. It's set up to turn 6800-7000 RPM with our custom Hyd Roller Cam. Keep in mind those numbers are from our Mustang Dyno and with a C4 Trans and 4k stall converter.
you can easily hit 400+ rwhp in a 347 but you'll need to go Solid Roller cam or extremely hi compression with a Hydraulic Roller Cam set up. You'll also need a sick set of heads like a ported Canfield 195cc Alum or an AFR 205 or Race Ported TFS.
You'll also have to upgrade the intake manifold, roller lifters, springs, Locks, retainers, and most likely some more fuel and custom tuning. We can easily get you there just call to ask for more info or help. Thanks!
