good job, made me go play some drums on the old roland. I've kinda moved on to keys. what's difficult about this song is having all the dynamics bang on, or the song will just rape you... Yes are notorious for playing with the tempo live
well done! It really doesnt get any better than "Yes" does it? Im only 15 but they've paved the path im now heading on in music. Again great job, Sehr gut!
It might have been two weeks but he only had 3 days with the band. He did great his first gig and then started thinking about it and sucked for a gig or two. I liked watching him and Steve Howe more in those days than now. They're getting pretty toned down.
Again, it's fun watching you play the song that somehow defines the way my brain works.
I'll look for more stuff from you. Glad there aren't the usual a-hole comments.
Woah yes. The Yessongs Siberian Khatru is one of my favorite all time recordings and you nailed Alan's part, musicman. I had not concentrated on the drum part exclusively before. Nice job!
What do you think. When Bruford left with almost no notice, it must have been nice having White step in. Maybe you could replace him when he retires.
Right off of 1973's 'Yessongs'!!! Alan White fucking killed on this tour...... My second favorite song next to Close to the Edge!!!! Dude, you fucking rock!!!!!!!!
@chakalitexxx hes right bruford left in 72 i believe right after fragile, close to the edge was released in 71' yessongs was released in 74' i believe by that time alan white was already in the group
Very good mate. Well done. Just like Alan White. Have you tried the drumming in AWAKEN? I believe it is in 11/8. I've had a go at both these songs guitar solos. They are just a couple of the greatest solos in the history of rock (along with Stairway, Freebird, No Quarter etc.) Bloody difficult though. There's too many notes!!! lol.
superb...

Wow! That was amazing. I think the Yessongs album has Alan White, correct? I'd have loved to hear how Bruford did it.

Thanks bibliac. I read that Alan White had only 2 weeks to prepare for the Close to Edge tour. Wow. I don't think White will ever retire. :(
