  • I wish i was born then , people were so simple and honest.Very nice songs and powerful words.

  • this is Kavi Pradeep ji and this was a box=office hit inthe fifties yhe immediete aftermath of the partition and refugee camps of the wrethed millions! This song deffinitely struck a cord!

  • Old, new, modern, ancient .... material conditions change, but Man is never-changing. We are mixtures of good and bad, love and hate, beauty and ugliness, the yin and the yang. And it's always been so, and will remain so unless evolution decides otherwise. The "old days" were not better than today. It's just the material instruments that Man used to execute his will that keep changing.

these lyrics are the blueprints of feelings at dat time in d mind of its writer after seeing dis world fighting for such valueless things and are as same as d present condition of our world...........in search of hunger or power we r forgetting dat our forefathers believes in love ,sacrifice n now we r in search of money, lust n luxuries.........shame on us.......love dis song...beautifully sung

  • Great work, u can easily guess the prudence and sense of poets of that time like Pradeep from the song that what he wrote at that time for the song is true to the point at this time.

  • A classic. It still has the same appeal for me as it did way back in the 1950s. Beautiful lyrics and music. Awsome!!

  • excellent song of 1955
