pete sell never was the brightest bulb. hes got the heart of a lion sure, but yea. there had been controversy about veteran fighters being knocked down (not out according to them) and refs stopping them too early. sell has pretty much complained about early stops every time after he got KO'd.

Dude something just dawned on me. If Machida beats Evans and if Rampage loses to Machida I dont see anyone in the ufc LHW beating Machida. Do you? Jardine was sick going into the fight, Greg said a couple close friends told him after because Keith never tells anyone anything when it comes to that stuff. So that's why he gassed after the first. I really don't think it made much of a difference in the fight. Jardine was sick, Rampage overtrained... it's all the same.

It's going to be interesting to watch all the trash talk is going to unfold between these two fighter, during the pre fight interviews and the countdown prior the event. But Rampage better show up in better condition for this fight or Evans is going to make him eat his words. Although the first round of this trash talking went for Jackson IMO.

It's a damn shame about Machida title shot, he was so close to finally get it but at least looks like it's going to happen within the year.

Gonzaga is a great fighter and he stunned Carwin, twice; once badly and then again, right before he got KO'd. I think Lesner has an easier go with Carwin, then he would with Gonzaga.

nice review i thought the main event was a interesting fight as both fighters were in control for the parts of the fight. The promo/staredown between Jackson and Evans was AWSOME. Matt Hamill did something no one in their right mind predicted and HEADKICKED MUNOZ OUT COLD. The Refing on the show was horrible what the hell is up with Yves just stopping then starting the fight but more importantly the stoppage in the Aaron Riley fight was HORRIBLE i like stopping fights early but that Really fast

Rampage never looked Mack Brown awesome, but he was clearly the better fighter. A better fighter than Jardine could have taken the fight away from Rampage.

The amount of first round TKOs was just nuts last night. There were way too many unprepared fighters last night. Even Gonzaga left his hands down in the first round and got KTFO.

PS - You are full of it about Watchman. The movie was one of better superhero movies of all time..

You need to get your eyes check then. How many times were they in the clinch up agains the cage and had to be restarted from no action?

How much of the fight between the middle of the 2nd half of the 2nd round - near the end of the 3rd round was merely shuffling along the outside of the cage? There were several minutes worth of idleness on the part of both of em, that is fact.

Jardine looked like Mark Coleman or Shogun Rua in round 3 in their last fight. Rampage slightly better.

Just because the fight ended with some action (just like shoguns eeked out KO of Coleman for example, when the Entire fight was nothing but a slowmotion flailing of arms, them boing being gassed the entire fight), doesn't mean everything up until that point was 'exciting'. I don't even mind if there is some stalling or relaxed pace for 95% of the fights I watch. However, both of these guys being at the top of the division and both in contention for the title shot.
