I have a question.. If you get your braces off, then it takes like 4 days

or so to get your retainer, wont your teeth get messed up while your waiting?

Because I'd be pretty mad If they did..

Is this the only way to add designs to a retainer? I thought I saw somewhere you could do this by applying a vaccuform acrylic material over the top or something.

At least I read about an ortho lab that lets the Dr. put his logo in the acyrlic. How would that be done?

The liquid in the purple bottle is actually clear monomer, when combined with the powder in the white bottle (Polymer) they harden and make acrylic. I know, I know The liquid is purple not clear. Monomer has a tendency to yellow a bit when it cures, the purple tint you see counteracts that yellowing. The polymer (powder) comes in all different colors and so does the monomer (liquid), You can combine them in all different ways.

I've been interested in trying to make a panda retainer! I will see what I can do. To answer your question, I do these for work (I work in an Orthodontic Lab) but it makes it fun when you guys want something cool and different in your retainer.

sometimes you need to have a retainer to move your teeth a bit...my twin had to have a retainer too before having braces..but now he has braces hehe :P

Sometimes you can use a retainer to move teeth slightly without braces. Or it may be used to fix a bite discrepancy, and depending on her age it may be used to get her teeth ready for braces.
