I attended the summer program more than 10 years ago, and it was a life changing experience for me. And to this day, the decisions I make around sustainability comes from what I learned there.
The school is in north central Vermont. Specifically it is on the border between Warren and Waitsfield in the Mad River Valley. There are directions on the Yestermorrow website. come visit or take a class!
Yestermorrow founder, John Connell, has authored several books: Creating the Inspired House and Homing Instinct. Both are great introductions to Design/Build.
I agree this is a great school and well worth the investment of time and money to go there. And the Mad River Valley is a wonderful setting. Makes it easy and fun to learn.
This is a refreshingly clear presentation of this unique school in VT, free from marketing and promotional content that can make such videos so tiresome. Great footage of the Green Mountains!
Just watching this will make you feel like you are going to design your own place.
Please watch my video popsicle stick masterpiece. its model architecture at its finest.
