i heard its very hard to do sumi-e cause u hafta becareful of the watercontrol and the brush is soft so it hurts your arm after a while

ive always wanted to try but for now ill still to my wacom tablet and oil paint :)

thicker paint is easier to me

What type of paper do you use?
