Such songs were all over the place then, helping me believe the world was all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows... as my parents divorced and I was raised in a dysfunctional home (although I didn't know it then). This kind of child-like optimism and care-free happiness is long gone, alas.

I don't think that there was a variety show in the US that this brilliant group did not appear on back in the day. I was a little boy, but I still remember seeing them - and loving their music - on every evenning "special" (remember "specials?") and variety show. (Remember "variety shows?!")
