Don't look at it as a "milliion year" task...Spiritual growth does not necessarily take that long. Rose died around 1941 and did not spend her previous life in any spiritual practice, and she is today working as a guide...So she has made great progress. If you start working on Earth now--you can quickly progress. :)

ok so the general message was the more open you are to the spirit world on earth, the more spiritual or enlightened you are in the spirit world? So what would happen when an atheist (in the sense that they don't believe in an afterlife in any sense) dies? Or someone that finds spirituality in material or man made things like science e.g. einsteinian "religion"?

I'd just like to say I'm just playing devils advocate here I'm not trying to debunk or make anyone look foolish. Now, that said, i happen to agree with you I was just interested in hearing a response in light of this video. I'm still having trouble with what would happen to an atheist after death. Also, when you pass, does it matter what your spiritual beliefs or viewpoints were? Or only how much you pursue your beliefs, in regard to how spiritual or enlightened you become?

I believe it doesn't matter what you believe in or how much you persue it. Most religions have the same basic viewpoints of what happens once you die. I've even had a very wise athiest friend tell me: "Most people see death as an end. And so they fear it. I'm not. Because to me, death is an adventure, you never know what's on the otherside until it happends." =) hope that clears things up.
