  • that's one thing i really liked about dbz, was the music, esp the intro recap song.

  • No disrespect....I like the english Faulconers better...but the Japanese is the original

  • JUST AN OPINION: But I think the english version is better on the scene only though. It's weird there's scenes I like in japanese better and scenes I like in english better. ha

  • @ 0:40 is the True SSJ2 Gohan. That is how he should have looked like. It seems he made another transformation at that point.

  • UMMM NO NO NO NO! The american version with vegeta's piano theme makes this scene SO EPIC. This is just kind of filler panic music to me.

  • what's the music called?

  • @TheTristen

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's called "Super Deciding Battle for the Entire Planet Earth."

  • @mrfusion1138 The first part is called "Demonic Broly," "Super deciding Battle for Planet Earth" is the second part.

  • @TheTristen the first one Broly BOF 15 (first movie of Broly), the second one Shen-Long theme (Turles movie)

  • @TheRaf9999 what is Broly BOF 15?

  • @TheTristen MAybe I'm wrong but it's Broly, the greatest menace, look it in Dragon ball Kazentai in searchers

  • @TheTristen

Here are the two tracks, as the Japanese BGM tracks don't have actual names, those were tacked on in the CD release of the BGM due to popular demand

watch?v=DQCpWr2Gzzg (The part used in this clip starts at 50 secs)

watch?v=oK_AuzE2pgs (Its Shenron's Theme from DBZ Movie 3)

  • do you know where i could watch these versions of the eps? watch-dragonball used to have em but now they have a 'mirror' system and all of the versions are the same japanese titled english dubs with lame music

  • Gohan super saiyan probably the most powerful Z Warrior When he Get Angry!!!!

  • I have a request!!Can you make a video when Goku kills Kid buu with the Spirit bomb but with the japanese music?!!I love that nice angelic peaceful background music in the japanese version when Goku kills Buu!!

  • @DrzLoko08

    I'll see what I can do. :)

  • Both the Faulconer and the Japanese BGM are good.

Faulconer's leans more toward the "Hero finally winning", with Gohan's triumph over Cell. The Japanese' leads more towards the somber side, with Cell's final defeat marking the end to his terror.

  • whats the name of the 1st song? Was looking for it for ages!

  • 0:40-1:23 What's the name of this song?

  • @AscendedSaiyanGoku I don't know but you can find it as "Dragon Ball Z Saga de Cell Musica 13 " on youtube

  • @mobscenebm "Chikyuu Marugoto Chou-Kessen"

  • i also miss stephanie nadolny and bruces music :/

  • In the manga cells last words are I am invincible this can't be

  • The English version was far, far more epic.

  • @EfnwWrestling English version ruined DB's reputation, it is so far off in translation that I can not take it seriously. that's clearly the situation why this Fanbase is so arrogant. They won't accept the fact that FUNImation fucked up and they even admit it and state the japanese version was loads better, which lead them into redubbing their script in KAI to be much closer to the japanese dialog.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 I prefer the Japanese dialogue and the English Music. It paints a better picture and isn't as generic IMO

  • @EfnwWrestling false

  • For some reason when I was younger I never liked the fact that Gohan used the kamehameha to defeat cell, seemed like it was his dad's move and for sme reason I thought that it was too out of place for him to use it, but now that I'm older I see how symbolic it is that he's using his father's signature attack to finish off the bad guy.

  • I miss Stephanie Nadonly.

  • @BBoyGiven Yes I respect your opinion but I like to know what the characters are really saying instead of watching the dub because of how unfaithful the dialog is. The dialog in Japanese can't be wrong as they are the ones who made the show. The dub dialog doesn't have the spirit of the Japanese version whatsoever.

  • is it me or is the video kinda low in audio. My volume is turned all the way up, i wish it was louder :/

  • @0xXAltairXx0

Yeah, it is pretty low. I was just starting to tinker with the software I used. I didn't know how to adjust the volume then. I might upload one again, with louder volume.

  • ;( I wish all these dub trolls would get off Japanese videos and degrading the series for what it's worth. They don't even appreciate what Japan has given them. They only care about funimation and their unfaithful bullshit.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456

I disagree. Funimation has done very well with their dubs, and I have been able to appreciate both Japanese and English dubs for their worth. I believe as long as you know you're watching Japanese animations and not just considering them cartoons, it doesn't matter which language you watch.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 Yeah . Most of the Kai haters are the dub trolls who only care about Funimation and the bullshit made up in the English Z dub.

They don't even know the true DBZ experience.

  • (continued) good.

  • (continued) but if you watch the japanese version in buu saga,, it feels like it goes on forever. Also, bruce falconer made everything epic. When you first here thr ssj3 theme you think you just listened to the epitome of epicness. But the japanese version makes you think this is a crisis happening. In my opinion, the jap bgm fit more since goku's power up was going to drain all the time he had on earth and it was destroying earth. But the bruce bgm just sounded better. Any I think they are

  • (continued) If I had to compare jap and english bgm at that time, jap bgm wins for freeza and garlic saga. Then the cell saga had amazing themes for american dbz. The "cell theme", "the imperfect cell theme", "destruction", "goku vs 19", "vegeta turns ssj", "gohan awakens"(i know this is a freeza theme), "hyperbloic time chamber" those were all good themes. The cell saga bgm ties with the American bgm. Then the buu saga... Bruce falconer bgm was just amazing. It truely made dbz seem fast pace

  • (c0ntinued) not memorable songs. From the freeza saga(the bgm at that saga mostly sucked by the way) the only good songs in my opinion were "the ginyu theme", "freeza vs vegeta", "vegeta (hells bells theme) the main vegeta theme", "goku turns into a ssj", "spirit bomb theme", the recap music, and the ending music. Everything else in that saga blowed or was completely forgetabble. Then in the garlic junior saga..... That short saga had by far the worst music that bruce falconer composed...

  • (continued) saga over and over again. Then in the Cell saga, you get more epic themes but mostly movie 6 music is played over and over again in that saga. But the buu saga jap bgm was perfect. You get brand new bgm for that side of the show, and you get broly and bojack movie bgm (which in my opinion had the best bgm by far).

    Now for bruce faulconer bgm:

This music is more epic and modern, mostly, but there is no silence!!! that is honestly terrible composing right there. Also, there are too

  • As a person who has watched the dbz dub with bruce faucloner bgm and kikushi bgm, I can say that they are both good. Honestly, in the kikushi bgm has its good themes, meh themes, and forgetable themes. When I watch with kikushi, I get more drama and genuine feel of what the show is truely supposed to sound like. But at the same time, there are some themes that are just plain forgetable and overused. Look at saiyan saga and freeza saga for example. Movie 1-3 bgm plays over and over again in that

  • Wow, the american version sounds so much more intense, this one is kinda kiddish.

  • @McFuuckYou

I have to agree and disagree on that issue. I think both scores have a good deal of "kiddish" elements. It is, after all, a kids' show at heart. It does deal with some "adult" issues, but it's more for young adults who are still very much "big kids." I started watching this show when I was 10, when it first came on Toonami. It's only been in recent years that I've read the Manga and appreciated the original Japanese dialogue over the English dubs. It's all a matter of preference.

  • The Japonese mucis are more dramatic !!!

  • The English soundtrack had it's moments too. Like when Gohan killed the Cell Jr.'s, when we see Goku first turn SS3 (also used later when he kills Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb to an even more fitting moment), and several other moments. It's just, sometimes they just use generic music. Like Gohan first turning SS2, the Japanese version uses this kickass song with lyrics and a catchy melody, while the dub just uses the same music you hear in other episodes.

  • Whats the name of the themes? Im looking for them everywhere

  • This is way better

  • I enjoy Bruce Faulconer, but I think the Japanese music fits way more. That's my opinion.

  • 1. America is not EEUU ...remember...

    2. All country use the japanese soundtrack... and all we know that is the best... okey?...

    3. GRINGOS remember you are the center of the UNIVERSE...

  • lol 4 pplz hat only watches dbz kai would have been like wtf??? thats not cell

  • ook the japanesze music is the best ... where is the japanese voice

  • The Japanese BGM adds to the dramtic tone. The music here fits perfectly!

  • @ToyStoryStarWarsFan It dont matter if its behind a computer screen, or in your fuckin face.

  • @ToyStoryStarWarsFan See my first comment, THEN FUCK YOUR OWN ASS WITH A DICK!

  • @ToyStoryStarWarsFan I suppose I can't argue with you when you say "I love Faulconer", I just feel like DBZ should have strong adrenaline pumping scenes when needed, and nice sweet ones when Goku is with Animals, family, or everyone gets together for a relaxing day sometimes.

  • @ToyStoryStarWarsFan I was only talking about the voices in DragonBall. The Music is alright since DB isn't as serious as DBZ. DBZ and Bruce Falconer is what DBZ is meant to be like. The music suits the moods way better, and everything becomes much more epic and just jumps out at you.

I'm sure i'm not the only one who gets goosebumps or feel hyped when you see an epic power up with some epic music. SSJ1, SSJ2 and SSJ3 power ups, as well as others. (mystic gohan) theyre amazing.

  • Fuck Japanese Dragonball and Dragonball Z, the music and voices fucking suck. They disgrace the absolute potential this show has. Fuck DBZ Kai, and fuck the new uncut version of DBZ with the dumb ass music. Bruce Falconer ftw. IN AMERICA!!!

  • @ultimatezero117 Holy shit, you're not xenophobic in anyway at all. Yes, let's have techno music fuck our ears for thirty minutes while shitty voice actors read their lines off of dumbed down, inaccurate scripts.

  • @TheSatanicCreature Whoa there, before we go throwing around big boy words like "xenophobic" and using them incorrectly since that would mean he feared and (from the perpetuation of that fear) hated the Japanese or other races while in fact he said he leaned more towards the English dub...I like both, but I guess I prefer the English dub and music they're both good in many ways and have PROS AND CONS..and many dubs are great like Yu Yu Hakusho and Death Note.

  • @13Crypto Yeah. I suppose xenophobic is a strong words. I'm just not a fan of the English dub of DBZ.

  • @TheSatanicCreature Hey I hear ya man..too each his own..Some things I like better dubbed some are better in the original format...I don't think it should be about if it's "original" or "what language you speak"..both are good..it just depends on how they're delivered...

  • @ultimatezero117 You take the title of most open-minded person on Youtube... :p

  • @SilverZEntertainemnt Im just kidding around lol. But honestly, I have to admit that the Japanese DB and DBZ would be oh so much better if Goku didn't sound like an old woman and the music was a bit more intense. :l that's all im saying. The intensity that America brought to DragonBall Z is what it needed.

  • @ultimatezero117

thats because their voice overs WERE done by a girl. The voices and dialogues are actually much better overall in the original Japanese. Its a shame they butchered some of it when they brought it over.

  • @pdprezn8 I'm well aware of that, but I digress, The power up scenes as well as the fights were more serious and goosebump-giving than the japanese version. I've seen the whole japanese series and the English Series (the old english series) and I love the English one so much more. Bruce Falconer's music still gives me goosebumps when i hear it. And its my inspiration while im lifting in the gym.

  • @ToyStoryStarWarsFan How could anyone like the Japanese music? It sucks. As does the Japanese dub! I mean, really?! Goku! Voiced! By an old Japanese lady?! The music is awkward at best. I mean, it was okay for Dragonball, which was more...magical...in a way. But this is Z!!!! Serious shit! We need more badass music. You know why you dont get the Japanese dub music on cds? CAUSE THEY FUCKIN SUK! FUCKIN SUK! FUCKIN SUK! Fuck the Jap dub! Fuck the Jap music! AND FUCK KAI! A good Frieza aint enough.

  • fucking de-atomization...... at least clean up wont be a problem.

  • man! even if i rewatch this in a hundred time i won't get bored watching this...the best scene ever in dbz history!!!!!

  • I WILL LEARN FREEEEEEEEEEENCHH..H.H....H......

  • I LOVE CORNBREEAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!

  • No disrespect for the American version, but the Japanese BGM trumps over the Faulconer version; the Faulconer version makes is less dramatic; pretty weak.

  • @DarthVato76 The music for this is Japanese is amazinggggggggggggg! It's so amazing esp toward the end!

  • @DarthVato76 nah i think u got it backwards

  • @DarthVato76 Agreed.

  • lol this music only goes good with dragon ball not dragon ball z

  • the voices are much better in japanese.

  • @LordApocalypse7 no there not

  • Whats the name of the song that first starts at the beginning of the video?

  • The Japanese music is better because it's original and makes the watcher watch in suspense, Faulconer's music is ok but I just don't get any suspense whenever there's a battle using his battle music. Kikuchi>Faulconer.

  • Funimation music is more Epic.

  • Awesome music

  • @flightlezzer

I'm not entirely sure whether or not the Japanese soundtracks are avilable anywhere. I definitely don't know the name of the music to which you refer. I do know it was played a lot throughout the first seven seasons.

  • @mrfusion1138

They released pretty much all the Japanese DBZ soundtracks. They are some of the most famous songs in all of anime after all. Just search "DBZ OST Shunsuke Kikuchi" and you'll find tons of Japanese DBZ songs

  • I have a few more videos, most of which actually have the American music by Bruce Faulconer.

  • @mrfusion1138 Plz leave the lolFalconer dubs off youtube!

  • OMG i need soundtrack from 0:41 what's its name?

  • @fightlezzer First part of Chikyuu Marugoto Chou-Kessen.

  • @Blackthehedgehog2 no it;s Moetsukiro Nessen Ressen Chougekisen

  • this original version is 100 times epic than the other, the music is so much more original and GANGSTAAAAAA

  • Does this have the music from the Toonami episodes!?!? If so Im def buying these orange brick sets!!!! Any chance you could post a scene with the other music???

    Thanks for the vid! :)

  • @lisannhodges67

    Please politely direct yourself here:

    /watch?v=2kEqL3iBLFw

  • @BladeKun52 Awesome thanks! But do you know, if that version of the link you sent is in the dvd set?

  • @lisannhodges67

Yes. In the season sets, you always have the option to listen to the dub with bruce faulconer's music. the season sets default to the dub with the japanese music, but you can always go to the setup menu and switch it.

  • @BladeKun52 AWESOME! Thanks! :)

  • @haru884 NO! Original dragon ball z (japanase) better then english!

  • @tuffox its just my opinion and i believe that japanese music is acceptable just not as good as english

  • @haru884

I really prefer the original music. I just love the style. The only thing that bothers me is the reuse of old material. Bruce Faulconer's themes replay throughout the show, but at least it wasn't the same themes in different situations. I love them both. So, I don't think it's a matter of which is better, just preference.

  • @haru884 Yeah, the english versions songs are more epic. I don't know how anyone can say Japan's version is better?

  • @futboyz Because it is? ;) Kiding. You probably grew up watching the english version, that's why you find it more epic. But I saw it with the original music (with french language), and that's also probably why I don't find the english version very good. Some songs are pretty good from what I heard, but I still prefer the original ones.
