@ThEuSeDoNe82589 Most of the improvisation part is hybrid picking. That's using the flat pick and the 3rd of 4th fingers to pluck out the notes. The first part of the song (main theme) and most of the scales are back to just playing with the plectrum. :)

Paco and Tommy play completely different styles of music. They are both the leaders of their respective styles. The comparison ends there.

Def. a nice player...hard to judge him by this piece, as it would sound twice as good if he were playing it on a nice, clean electric...still blazing and impressive. Though he is hybrid picking at times, I find this to be more of a masterful display of flatpicking than anything

The PICK and FINGERS technique is normally refered to as HYBRID-PICKING too.....Great Video anyway but not a fair representation of FingerPicking. You also have a funny approach of communicating with me too, and it you might find it funny if you knew who I actually was????
Well, time to update your vocabulary because fingerpicking is the correct term for Tommys playing style - using both a pick and your fingers - as opposed to the technique classical players use and what you probably thought(using only fingers).
