Hi Kevin, I hope you can include this question into one of your future Q&A:
I saw a video on youtube with a guy saying that Dr. Norman Walker in his book about juices/juicng stated that you can make your vegetable juice out of NON-ORGANIC vegetables, since the chemical substances stay all in the pulp.
I think it is very strange - but Dr. Walker was possibly a person that would not say anything that's not true and tested.
Did you ever hear this and what do you think?? Thanks for your help.
I realize being raw 2 1/2 years that its more imporant to not limit myself so I try to stay as raw as possible. But I don't believe every recipe has to be 100% thats stupid' It could be 90% to 80% raw and still be healthy' I think what foods you pcik is more imporatant then it being cooked. For example brown rice is not bad is small amounts also vegetable soups are not bad. Alot of vegan recipes are very long calorie and are really healthy for you. as long as most is raw it shouldn't matter.
Yes I totally agree and it really makes me want to check your book out now' even before it looked really interesting. Yes I totally understnad people need those textures and i try to make really easy but delicous raw recipes. Even if sometimes the recipe is only 65% raw and it would make it faster to make then its worth it' Like making a cake with all the raw ingredients then baking it for 30 minutes on 350 then adding raw icing is better then it being compleatly cooked.
The recipes that drive me crazy are the ones that seem simple at first then all of a sudden require really exotic ingredients I can't even get at Whole Foods. I shouldn't have to mail order (expensive!) ingredients just because I'm hungry! I even avoid recipes that use coconut water and coconut meat because I'm not going to take the time to hack a coconut to pieces.
@daphnelage Hi Daphne, I agree, although I'd like to change your mind about coconuts. The young Thai coconuts are easy to open up with a big knife and the water is delicious! Watch other Youtube videos on how to open them.
It was really hard to stay high raw because I had so many fav cooked foods that could not be replaced especially Indian dishes and the foods that could be replaced took to long to prepare. I want a variety of foods that could be prepared with thirty minutes just like a healthy vegan cooked meal so that was very discouraging
When it comes to cooking I know how to cook so I do not put allot of thought into it.
If I get request for something chances are I know how to make it or I can look it up.
Teaching raw foods as something simple is something I am interested in. Gourmet raw is way to much work and not something I am willing to devotes lots of time to.

I usually cook intuitively tasting along the way to make sure all the different flavors Cherie was talking about are in the "recipe".
