The do world need lots of loving kindness. Loving kindness, compassion are taught in majority of world religion, but it seems people tend to ignore this basic simple teaching.

Like in the Ten Commandments "Thou shalt love thy neighbor" And still people really tend to ignore this commandment.

"Thou shalt love thy neighbor" is not a commandment but is "the Golden Rule""... "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." :)

If you have critical thoughts of an antipathetic person, rather than suppress them, you can try to express them. Perhaps the critical thoughts will be self extinguishing, or perhaps not, depending on the power of mind.

I honestly had no idea that there were even this many "devoted" Buddhists in India. (No offense intended). I thought that after moghul invasions, most of them were forced to convert to Islam, etc.

Now that I know this is from Maharashta (In sri lankan language we call it maha rata) I like to visit the temple. I know in Mumbai they made a massive dome for buddha's relics.

I have been to there several times, and job in USA need me to go there often. Please help to find the address of the temple.

For the most part, Theravada (Hinayana) Buddhists chant in Pali, in the exact words the Lord Buddha preached his preachings.

The pronunciations have mild differences depending on the nationality and language.

I am a Sri lankan, and wish to know which part of India is this. It is so close to Sri lankan Buddhist monks chanting. I like Karaniya metta sutta as my mother chanted it for me before I sleep. She use to say that gives a calm death, one day..in addition to many other benifits.

I think it's in the state of Maharashtra (capital city is Bombay/Mumbai). The language spoken in Maharashtra is Marathi.
