I like this video. I was creating a short gag video, for my big Pepsi drinking brother in the next town over, and needed a spinning globe animation (video editing is more my "thing".) This animation is excellent and fit the bill perfectly. I borrowed just a few seconds of video, and the music. I hope that is okay. It is on my channel and is called "Sales Report".

you just spherize a flat photo of the earth and then do some colour ajustments and a couple of other stuff to add the atmospjere
