Fantastic! I'm ashamed to say that I've played the piano for twelve years and this is the first time I've heard these bagatelles. Wonderful performance and very interesting pieces.
@hickerydickerydoe its actually the correct thing to do according to the score. the final chord sounded in the right hand consists of basically all the black keys. On the score it says 'R.H forearm black -note cluster' implying to do what he did which was press against them all with your forearm, as there are more than 10 black keys.
Do you find that you have a particular affinity for contemporary music? You seem to be very involved in it's performance here. Quite good. How old are you at this point?
Aah I see. I have always loved contemporary music especially Carl Vine whose music I discovered just this year. He is Australian and has his own web site. Maybe you would like his more classically inspired film music?
well played harry but i hate this sort of music. the most contemporary i like is benjamin britten, any1 after him i just dont seem to be able to connect...any suggestions on how i can apppreciate this period of music more?
don't force it. if you don't like it you don't like it. but sometimes people's tastes change...you might find yourself listening to it one day and discovering that it IS kinda enjoyable.

Carl Vine's Bagatelle No.4 is honestly the craziest piece of music I've ever heard.

I can see the next Marc-André Hamelin coming into focus . . . . Astounding musical comprehension for someone so young. Bravo!

These are actually the more dissonant 3 of the 5 pieces. Try listening to the other two, titus.
